valuable time to meet me today. I am looking forward to learning about your role and insights into
how business is managed within your company for my project.

Sandipan : Good evening Shreyan. Nice to meet you.

Shreyan : Could you tell me about your role here at the company , including your position and how
long you have been working with the organisation?

Sandipan: I currently serve as the Assistant Manager at WRITEWING ADVERTISING, a position


which I have held for the past 5 years. I have been with the company for the past 15 years.

Shreyan: Can you tell me about the range of services the company offers and how they meet the
needs of your clients.

Sandipan : Our company offers services like content writing, copywriting, designing and printing.
These are mainly used for brochures, annual reports, advertisements, posters , calendars, packaging
etc.

Shreyan : Could you share some background about the company, such as when it was founded, who
started it, and the current size of the team in terms of employees?

Sandipan : Sure, our company was founded in 1991 by Mr Prodosh Kumar Sen and his wife Mrs Gini
Sen. The company currently consists of 10 employees in total.

Shreyan : Could you provide some insights into the company’s current performance, particularly in
terms of profitability and overall growth?

Sandipan : Our company has been profitable ever since it was founded. As of FY2023 we made an
annual turnover of 85 Lakhs with a net profit margin of roughly 15%. However, we have not been able
to grow significantly and increase our revenue.

Shreyan : Could you highlight some major business problems that the company is facing currently?

Sandipan : Currently, the company is facing a few key challenges impacting our growth. First, we are
experiencing difficulties with customer acquisition, which limits our ability to bring in new clients and
hinders horizontal expansion into new markets. This challenge affects our ability to reach a broader
client base and, ultimately, limits our overall growth potential. Secondly, we’re seeing a stagnation in
revenue from existing clients, as many of them aren’t fully utilising the complete range of services we
offer. This issue restricts our vertical growth opportunities and limits additional revenue streams within
our current accounts. Addressing these challenges is critical for us to move forward effectively.

Shreyan : Could you explain some of the underlying reasons or factors that, according to you, have
contributed to the current challenges with customer acquisition and revenue stagnation?

Sandipan : Although our company has been thriving for the past 30 years and remains profitable,
we've faced challenges in adapting to the rapid evolution of digital marketing and advertising. As
more businesses shift to online marketing and social media platforms, traditional advertising methods
like newspapers and magazines have become less effective for attracting new clients. Many potential
customers now expect more data-driven, measurable campaigns that demonstrate clear returns on
investment, but our inability to fully align with these expectations has made it difficult to expand our
client base.

Furthermore, we’re encountering stagnation in revenue from our existing clients, as many of them
aren’t utilising the full spectrum of services we offer. We have not been proactive enough in
introducing clients to additional services that could benefit them. As a result, some clients turn to
larger competitors that offer more comprehensive, one-stop solutions.

Shreyan : Does the company have a dedicated data analysis team responsible for evaluating its
performance?

Sandipan : Currently, none as such, but we are planning to have one as soon as possible.
