with a slightly glossy sheen, and its distinctive cawing call is instantly recognizable.

The Jamia Calendar Makers Team

The concept for the Calendar 2025 was proposed by Prof. Mazhar Asif, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, and Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi,
Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia, and the task was entrusted to Prof. Rihan Khan Suri, Director, Centre for Innovation and
Entrepreneurship (CIE).

The Jamia Calendar Makers Team is proud to present this year’s calendar, themed “Birds of Jamia,” celebrating the vibrant avian
diversity of the campus while highlighting Jamia’s commitment to nature and biodiversity.

The project was guided by Prof. (Dr.) Rihan Khan Suri and Dr. Sunil, Associate Professor, University Polytechnic with the design
conceptualized by Mr. Sheeraz Naqvi. The photoshoot was carried out by students of the short-term course in Video and Still
Photography offered by CIE, under the mentorship of Mr. Sharique and Mr. Asghar Khan.

The talented team of students—Arman Raza, Mikayeel Khan, Adnan Rahman, Afnan Pathan, Hashim Saifi, Sadique Ansari, Zainab Sharif,
Safa Parwat, Anumol, Md. Arwaz, Sayed M. Sadiq Ali Khan, Javeer, Mohammad Abbas, Absar Naqvi, and Sayed Abubakar—has created
a captivating visual tribute to Jamia’s natural heritage.
