MASTER’S REVIEW

M/V “SONSONROLL”
1. Review the minutes of the previous meeting Date: Nov 24, 2024

a) Chapter 2 - All crew must read the company policy to comply with the new rules and regulation
imposed by the company and to obtain the safe and clean working place.
b) Chapter 6 - All crew must familiarize the proper emergency response procedure in critical and
special operation to obtain the safety of the crew, vessel and environment.
c) Chapter 4 - Reviewed procedures for shipboard personnel safety and security.

2. Discuss documentary review of the ISM manual:

a) Chapter 6 - Discussed upcoming industry-specific training requirements and proposed a


schedule for their timely completion.
b) Chapter 4 - Addressed concerns about language barriers affecting effective communication on
board and planned language proficiency courses for relevant crew members.

3. Discuss and analyze Non-Conformances/Near Misses and Hazardous Occurrences:

a) Chapter 7 - Reviewed a Hazardous Occurrence related to a chemical items supply on board and
discussed improvements in containment procedures, including the material safety data sheet.
b) Chapter 7 and 8 - Reviewed Hazardous Occurrences related to welding activities and discussed
improvements in safety measures, including enhanced fire watch procedures and additional fire
extinguisher placements.

4. Discuss oil spill related incident, if there is any:

a). NO OIL SPILL INCIDENT OCCURRED Yr. 2024

b). Discussed crew training on spill response, emphasizing the importance of immediate reporting
and containment measures.

5. Discuss shipboard maintenance system, if there are any changes:

a). Chapter 8 - Reviewed the recent upgrades to the Planned Maintenance System (PMS)
monitoring and discussed the integration of real-time monitoring for critical machinery.

b). Chapter 8 - Discussed adjustments to the maintenance schedule to accommodate unforeseen


repairs and emphasized the importance of timely reporting of equipment issues by the crew.

c). Chapter 8 - Ensured that the crew is adequately trained and oriented to the procedures for the
incoming dry-docking schedule.
6. Discuss effectiveness of in-house training and drills:

a). Chapter 11 - Discussed crew feedback on the recent firefighting training, addressing concerns and
scheduling follow-up sessions to reinforce key concepts.

b). Chapter 11 - Reviewed the effectiveness of the safety orientation program for new crew members
and discussed ways to enhance assimilation into the safety culture.

7. Master observations and recommendations:

a). Master observed a positive change in the crew's attitude towards safety, commending proactive
reporting of potential hazards and unsafe conditions.

b). Recommended the implementation of a fatigue management program following observations of


crew members working extended hours during port operations.
