First Impressions.
The halls were still and quiet, with some small conversations between scientists and testers.
Taekjoo laid curled up against the wall, his movements slow and tired. He had– like most of
the other test subjects– been taken here when he was younger. He was given away by his
father, who had been abusive towards his mom and sometimes him or his brother whenever
one or the other tried to protect their mom. His father had donated/gave him away to some
scientists, why had he gotten picked and not his brother? Well his brother seemed to have
more potential than him, but maybe that was because he was older. Since then, he has been
stuck in a testing facility and getting experimented on. Taekjoo hasn’t heard much from his
family but his dad probably should’ve died by now. He was glad he was gone but worried a
bit for his mother. The facility was secret, something hidden by the government. And once in
a while, if you wanted, or if you were forced to, you or your child had to go get experimented
on, it was cruel. But it was for research, to find new things, it was for good they had said.
As time went on and they started experimenting more and more on Taekjoo, he started
gaining some enhanced senses. He was stronger now and was more swift, like a rabbit. Now
that was ironic cause he also gained rabbit ears and a fluffy little tail.
Taekjoo sighed softly, closing his eyes for a moment. He started to drift off into sleep when
he heard something. He opened his eyes and lifted his gaze, someone stepped into his er..
room, area, whatever. Taekjoo narrowed his eyes, standing up. He was dressed in a white
hospital gown, bandages layered on his arms and legs, and like every other test subject, he
had a dark collar around his neck, which could tighten or shock him if he did something
unwanted or unnecessary. He straightened up, gazing down at the scientist, he was alert and
cautious, waiting intently for their next move.. Even with the rabbit ears, he was still a bit
intimidating, his gaze full of hostility and caution.
“.. Well? Go on. What do you want?” he asked, his voice dripping with hostility. He crossed
his arms and leaned on the wall.
“Uh.. Well.. We’ve decided to test some things—”
“I figured.”
“But uh– this time it's different..”
He raised an eyebrow, glancing behind the scientist in front of him. There was reinforced
glass where the people watching him looked in, there were two scientists, watching, taking
notes every now and then. He frowned, looking back down at the scientist.
“Go on?”
“We’re either going to add a subject to your– wait no.. it’s better to just put you in there with
him.. Can’t have him escaping, right? And I know you’ll be obedient.” the scientist jokes.
Taekjoo blinked in confusion, tilting his head to the side. Him? Were they introducing him to
someone? But why..?
As if the scientist heard his thoughts, they continued. “The person we’ll be putting you in
with is a special subject, he’s extremely violent when he doesn’t get what he wants, and we
find his behavior extremely interesting. We’ve been putting other subjects in there with
special effects or whatever but they always disappear within 48 hours.”
Taekjoo blinked.
“You sure talk a lot.”
“Okay whatever c’mon, lets go.”
“Hey wait I never agreed to–”
“That’s why we’re putting you to sleep.”
“Wait wh–”
His eyes widened, he felt his collar tighten, catching him off guard before a dull pain started
to radiate from the side of his neck. His vision blurred, the room distorted. The needle or
whatever injected him withdrew, and he felt his eyelids closing, no matter how much he tried
to hang on to consciousness, he eventually collapsed to the ground with a loud thud.
—----------------------------------
He was surrounded by darkness, whispers came from all around him. He looked down at his
trembling hands, was he just injected with an anesthetic? Taekjoo let out a shaky breath,
looking around him. Darkness surrounded him. Nothing else. Memories of his family flashed
in his mind momentarily, the good and the bad. Really, it was mostly just bad ones, watching
as his mother got hit, getting hit himself. And he was powerless to do anything, why was he
like this? Why did these things have to happen to him?
Taekjoo grit his teeth, staring down at his trembling hands. He wasn’t like that anymore. He
wasn’t some kid who needed help or protection, he could defend himself now. A faint light
shone in the distance. Taekjoo glanced up, lowering his hands. After staring for a few
seconds, he walked towards it, the light getting more blinding as he continued, until his
vision was completely white.
He bolted up, panting. Taekjoo let out a soft sigh, covering his eyes with his hand, he had
woken up in a cold sweat. He glanced around, the lights were toned down, it was night time.
He took a deep breath and shuffled against the wall, his back leaning against it. Taekjoo
started to clear his mind, gazing down at the floor. They had said he would be with someone
else so where was..
“...?!”
He was startled when he looked up. In the corner of the room was a pair of glowing cold blue
eyes, which analyzed and watched his every move intently, like a predator waiting for their
prey in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to jump out and pounce. Taekjoo stared,
it was dark so it made it harder to make out features of the other person, which made them all
the more terrifying. The tension in the air was heavy, Taekjoo was alert and cautious, the
scientist who visited him basically told him, ‘hey! We’re sending you to your death, good
luck!’ Taekjoo scoffed, he wasn’t stupid. At least maybe he could survive a bit longer than
the others who have stepped foot into the same room as that monster.
“.. Are you just gonna sit there and be mysterious?” Taekjoo asked, raising an eyebrow and
lowering himself back onto the ground. No response. He sighed, looking away from the..
Whatever that other person was, if you could even call them a person.
“Whatever.” he murmured, curling up into a ball and staring off into the distance. The
shadows danced around, with a seemingly malicious intent. The tension in the air slowly
eased as the silence grew louder, and as Taekjoo slowly began to succumb to his exhaustion.
He closed his eyes slowly, everything around him fading.
And as he opened his eyes, the lights were switched back on. He had slept for a couple hours,
maybe 5 or 7. He yawned, glancing around the room. In the corner of the room laid a tall
figure with a crocodile tail and.. Cat ears?? Last time I checked, crocodiles didn’t have cat
ears.. But whatever. The figure was curled up, on their side and sleeping peacefully. He had
blonde hair, and looked strangely graceful and majestic while sleeping. Was this the person
who they were talking about? Taekjoo was kinda expecting to see a more.. Uh.. different
look. It wouldn’t be too surprising though, cause last night, he was just staring. Just watching.
As Taekjoo recalled the night before, a shiver went down his spine. Really, how had that man
in that corner intimidated him so much?
Taekjoo sat there, lost in thought. He heard shuffling, looking up, he saw the other guy was
standing up, gazing down at him. He blinked, he was awfully tall.. Maybe 6’6 or 6’7?
Taekjoo frowned, standing up as well.
“.. Итак, кто вы?”
(“.. So, who are you?”)
Taekjoo blinked. It sounded like he was speaking Russian, which Taekjoo did not speak.
Great. Now they couldn’t communicate at all. Taekjoo sighed, thinking on what to say. This
was a facility somewhere, probably in a sketchy or hidden place in Korea, so why was there a
test subject that could speak Korean? Taekjoo lifted his gaze to meet the Russian’s.
“어.. 제 말이 이해되시나요?”
(“Uh.. Do you understand what I’m saying?”)
The Russian blinked and let out a small laugh, giving a slight nod before taking a slight step
forward with a small smile, he tilted his head to the side, crossing his arms.
“I should’ve known you spoke Korean.”
“Oh–! You can speak Korean..? But.. Didn’t you–”
“They started to teach me Korean when they brought me here. Now.. Who are you? What’s
your name?”
“Oh. Explains it.. Uh.. I’m Kwon Taekjoo.”
“Hm. Taekjoo..” he murmured, repeating his name over and over. After a little, he smiled
slightly, offering out a hand.
“I’m.. Yevgeny. Call me Zhenya. Nice to meet you, Taekjoo.”
“Mhm. Nice to meet you too, Zhenya.”
Taekjoo reached out and shook Zhenya’s hand firmly, the two held eye contact for a few
moments before Taekjoo looked away, feeling a bit uncomfortable. He withdrew his hand and
glanced around, his guard still up. He had to be careful about ‘Zhenya’, he was unpredictable
and dangerous. Taekjoo let out a small sigh and leaned against the wall, sitting down. Zhenya
stared at Taekjoo with amusement and interest. He smiled, sitting down next to Taekjoo, who
turned slightly and locked eyes with him.
“Bored?” Zhenya asked, tilting his head to the side. Taekjoo nodded and looked away.
“For a guy who’s supposed to be dangerous he sure seems welcoming..” Taekjoo thought.
Zhenya hummed, looking him up and down before looking at the glass thing. Shuffling could
be heard, and soon enough, some random person was thrown in, a guy with cat ears. Taekjoo
blinked.
“He kind of looks like a furry.”
Zhenya burst out into laughter at Taekjoo’s sudden comment, leaning on him slightly. The
guy heard Taekjoo and frowned, stomping over angrily. Taekjoo glanced up at the guy,
raising an eyebrow.
“Repeat that again, I DARE you.”
“You heard me. You look like a furry with your lil kitty ears.”
“Says you. You have rabbit ears. And that bastard beside you? He has cat ears too!”
“At least we don’t look like a twink.”
The guy grit his teeth, grabbing Taekjoo by his collar swiftly. “You–!” He started, but
couldn’t finish as he was kicked away by Zhenya, his body slamming against the wall, a loud
cracking sound echoed through the halls, his spine probably fractured by the impact. Taekjoo
watched, wide eyed. Zhenya had been able to do that ALL THIS TIME?? He felt a sudden
fear invade him, his heart pounding loudly in his chest. Zhenya wasn’t laughing anymore, his
expression cold. He approached the guy, who was trembling with fear as blood dripped down
from his head. Zhenya grabbed him by the collar, he smiled sadistically as he saw the pain
and fear in his eyes.
“I’m surprised you haven’t died yet. Don’t worry. I’ll put you out of your misery.”
Zhenya dropped him, dropping his foot onto his chest and then grabbing the inside of his
head before ripping it apart, splitting the head in two. He glanced at the half of the head in his
hand and dropped it, dropping to his knees in front of the corpse. A puddle of blood pooled
around the body, staining his knees a bright crimson red.
Taekjoo watched, trembling in fear as Zhenya ate the corpse, his teeth tearing into the flesh
before ripping it out, chewing, and then swallowing. Taekjoo let out a shaky breath, glancing
down at his hands. How has he even been surviving? Was his fate ultimately going to be
eaten by him? His breathing quickened, even the bravest of people would be terrified. He just
witnessed half of someone’s head getting ripped off and then their dead body getting eaten
like a grand feast. Taekjoo covered his mouth, he felt sick to the stomach. His gaze flickered
to the decapitated head, and back at Zhenya's back.
Zhenya just sat off to the side, blinking in confusion as Taekjoo was basically about to have a
panic attack. He wiped his mouth and walked over, crouching down. Taekjoo flinched,
staring at Zhenya in fear. As Zhenya reached out, Taekjoo flinched, raising his hands up into
a defensive position. He paused, hand reached out in mid-air.
Suddenly, Taekjoo’s body was embraced. It was.. Strangely comforting. Taekjoo lowered his
hands, his eyes still wide. Zhenya had wrapped his arms around Taekjoo in an attempt to try
and comfort him. He tightened his arms, leaning into Taekjoo.
Taekjoo’s breathing gradually calmed, it was strange. He was getting embraced by someone
who had just EATEN another human in front of him. So why was he feeling strangely
comforted? Taekjoo wrapped his arms around Zhenya, returning the hug.
“I’m sorry. Did I scare you? I didn’t mean to. Don’t be scared anymore, I swear, I’m not bad.
I just..” Zhenya trailed off, his voice strangely quiet.
Taekjoo frowned slightly, he still felt scared of Zhenya, but there was something strange
about the two. Like they were fated to meet somehow. He let out a soft sigh, his arms
tightening around Zhenya. Even though he didn’t want to, he was feeling comforted. There
was something.. Strange going on.
“Zhenya. Just don’t.. Just do that when I’m not there I don’t wanna watch as you tear apart a
human. Alright?” he murmured, his voice still trembling.
Taekjoo could feel Zhenya nod. He buried his head in Taekjoo’s neck and leaned on him, the
thick, iron-like smell of blood hanging around him still.
“Uh.. I feel like we should call someone in to take care of the corpse..” Taekjoo murmured,
his voice trembling slightly as the sight of Zhenya tearing the corpse apart and then lowering
to his knees to eat the body flickered in his mind. Zhenya was dangerous, probably one of the
most dangerous people ever. Taekjoo made a small note in his mind to keep his guard up,
always be alert and don’t get attached too much. He sighed, lowering his head to Zhenya’s
shoulder, closing his eyes for a moment. Really, how had he survived up until now?
2. The Subject’s Animosity.
Chapter Notes

Taekjoo blinked awake, the weight of another person practically crushing him. He lightly
pushed Zhenya’s shoulder. They must’ve fallen asleep while embracing each other. Takejoo
sighed, he’ll just wait until Zhenya wakes up. He glanced around, it was still morning, that’s..
Good?
Suddenly, the door to whatever the room was called opened, and a scientist stepped in. He
blinked at the scene in front of him, two subjects embracing each other, one seemed awake
while the other was asleep. Taekjoo sighed, “Don’t ask.”
The scientist blinked. “Uh.. Okay.”
“Well, I’m surprised you’re even alive? How did you do it? We even threw someone else in
here but y’know..”
“I.. don’t really know either. Also, can I please have something to eat? I’m starving.”
“Oh. Yeah. Sure, I’ll go get some food, stay here.” And with that, he ran off.
“Not like I can escape.” Taekjoo murmured, resting his head on Zhenya’s shoulder. He waited
quietly for the scientist to come back, the scientist’s name was Leon, how did he know? Well
‘Leon’ had an ID card, which stated his name.
“What did he tell you?” Zhenya murmured, lifting his body up. Taekjoo blinked, “When did
you wake up?
“Just now. Just kidding! I heard what you said to him.” Zhenya got off of Taekjoo, sitting
down next to him. Taekjoo raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms, glancing over at Zhenya
with slight curiosity.
“Did I wake you?”
“Yeah. I’m a light sleeper.”
Taekjoo nodded, taking a small note of that in his mind. He looked back at the door, staring
intently for any signs of entry or movement, afterall, he was feeling pretty hungry. Zhenya
blinked, following his gaze with curiosity.
“Are you waiting for them to come back?”
“Yeah. He’s gonna get me some food.”
“Ooh. Can I have some too? They’ve literally been just throwing in random people for me,
no actual food.”
Taekjoo raised an eyebrow, not lifting his gaze from the doorway. That was strange. So
Zhenya was being forced to.. uh.. So I guess that's fair, most of them provoked him or
probably tried attacking or upset him in some way, he seemed somewhat normal currently.
Zhenya didn’t seem to have any remorse and actually seemed like he enjoyed hurting people,
it seemed like he just put on a show, acting about being remorseful and regretful, it was quite
believable. He sighed, leaning back against the wall with his arms crossed. Zhenya did the
same, just a bit more curled up compared to Taekjoo.
After a little while Leon came back with a pot of ramen, which caught Taekjoo’s attention.
The spicy aroma of it practically filled the room, almost overwhelming Taekjoo’ senses. He
watched as he got it placed in front of him. It had been such a long time since he had eaten
something from Korea, even though that's where the facility was located, maybe. He stared at
it, his mouth practically watering, he glanced around for some chopsticks– fork– whatever.
“What’re you looking for?”
“Uh.. Chopsticks and a spoon.”
“Whoops. Forgot about those. Wait here, I’ll go get them.”
Taekjoo sighed, getting a bit impatient. He glanced at Zhenya, who stared at the pot in
curiosity.
“What’s.. That? Can I have some?”
“It’s ramen. And uh.. Sure I guess.”
Leon came running back with chopsticks and spoon in hand, he crouched down, placing the
utensils in front of Taekjoo, who practically snatched them before they even hit the ground.
Zhenya sat next to Taekjoo, staring at the utensils in his hand in curiosity and interest.
Taekjoo took a sip of the ramen broth, enjoying the tingling taste on his tongue. He glanced at
Zhenya for a moment before taking a spoon of broth and ramen and offering it to Zhenya,
who accepted it happily.
Zhenya blinked. After a few seconds, he could feel an intense burning sensation in his mouth.
He turned away swiftly, his face flushing due to the spice of the broth. Taekjoo and Leon
watched as Zhenya curled in on himself, whimpering slightly.
“It burnnsss…” he whined, his tone of voice like one of a child. Taekjoo burst into laughter
while Leon sat there, staring confusedly. Zhenya frowned, curling in on himself a bit more.
Taekjoo held back his laughter, glancing at Leon with a smile.
“Pfft.. Leon. Go get some milk or something for him.” he says, glancing at Zhenya, who was
hiding his face, and visibly trembling slightly. Now, he gave him a spoonful of broth and
ramen, but he swallowed it so the spice was toned down a little.
“Don’t worry, Zhenya. The burning will go away eventually.” Taekjoo murmured, crawling a
bit closer to him. He honestly was starting to get to know Zhenya better, starting to get
attached all within a day. He had to stop getting so close to Zhenya, there was something
about Zhenya. Something that attracted him in some way. He was strangely interested, just
something about the way he acted and the way he looked, it was strange. But he didn’t like
him. Zhenya was cold, he had no remorse for those he had krilled, all of his victims were
basically innocent. Taekjoo sighed, sitting against the wall as he waited for Leon to come
back.
After about half an hour, Leon wasn’t back yet, and Zhenya sat beside Taekjoo now, his face
still slightly flushed due to the earlier consumption of those noodles, which sat in front of the
two, the pot now empty and cooled. The room was still and quiet, a quiet humming coming
from the lights the only noise that ran through the air.
Taekjoo sat, staring up at the ceiling, lost in thought. Memories of the day before of Zhenya
consuming thy corpse flashed through his mind, a bitter taste stung his tongue, even if he had
finished eating a while ago. He let out a soft sigh, his mind tinged with slight worry for Leon,
where had he gone? Why had he just disappeared all of a sudden.. Had he gone against some
kind of protocol or something?
Zhenya glanced at Taekjoo curiously, wondering what thoughts filled his head. Taekjoo
glanced back at Zhenya and smiled slightly, his expression somewhat sincere. Zhenya
blinked, returning the smile.
As the door to the room opened, their gazes snapped to the door almost immediately. The
scientist froze, blinking in confusion and slight fear at the way Taekjoo and Zhenya were just
staring at him, unblinking. The three stared at each other for a while before the scientist
sighed and glanced away, approaching them. Taekjoo narrowed his eyes, his gaze lowering to
the scientist’s ID. ‘Salman’. Taekjoo tilted his head to the side slightly and raised his gaze to
his face, Salman seemed to be much older than the two of them.
“Where’d Leon go?” Taekjoo asked, narrowing his eyes. He was curious and also slightly
concerned, since the scientist just left and never came back. Zhenya was probably feeling
betrayed, since he didn’t get his glass of milk, and he was also still hungry.
“He went against protocol so he has to redo his training. He’s still new here and doesn’t know
much.”
“Dang. So what’re you gonna do now? Tests again?” Taekjoo lowered his head, memories
flickering in his mind momentarily. He shuddered, curling up more as he remembered the
tests and injections. Zhenya’s gaze was fixed on Taekjoo, watching his every movement and
action. He narrowed his eyes, his gaze flickering to Salman, who met his gaze and crossed
his arms.
“What is it?”
“.. Nothing.”
Zhenya turned his gaze, looking somewhere else. He seemed a bit tense. Salman glanced
back at Taekjoo, giving him a slight nod and turned his head towards the door.
“We’ll start testing again soon, I’m sure you enjoyed the short time where you weren’t
getting tested every two seconds.”
“Yeah I really enjoyed not getting random tests every two seconds actually!”
“Well that’ll end in a few minutes so.. Bye!” Salman smirked, his expression full of mockery
and slight amusement as he gazed down at Taekjoo for a moment before turning to the door
and walking out, the doors slamming loudly behind him. Taekjoo frowned, letting out a soft
sigh and leaning back against the wall. He lifted his gaze to the ceiling, lost in thought.
Zhenya followed Taekjoo’s gaze, curious.
“What’re you looking at?”
“Nothing. Just.. Thinking.” he muttered, thinking about all the possibilities that could happen
to him while they were testing on him, testing his strength or agility, or they could inject him
with something. He once remembered when they injected him with something, and soon
after, they said something about him being good at handling the random injections and tests.
He wasn’t as fragile as most people, he could get thrown around like a toy and not break.
Taekjoo sighed, closing his eyes. Maybe he had started getting too comfortable, even though
it's been 2 days since he and Zhenya had met, there was just.. Something strange about the
way Zhenya acted. Around him, Zhenya acted a bit naive and curious around Taekjoo, but
when with someone else, or when someone else is in the room speaking to either him or
Zhenya, he seems.. Different. More hostile in some kind of way.
The most likely reason was that he was just being nice to Taekjoo, not revealing himself. But
when others are around, there are small cracks, revealing his true nature and objectives. Or, it
could just be Zhenya was trying to gain Taekjoo’s trust to toy with him, to eventually break
his trust and maybe even end his life.
Taekjoo sighed, best not to dwell on the thought for too long. He rose to his feet, pausing as
he saw Zhenya do the same. “Zhenya, stay.”
Zhenya tilted his head to the side, blinking like he didn’t understand what Taekjoo was
saying.
“I’m just gonna stretch a little, walk around.” Taekjoo stated, glancing at the door.
“Why can’t I come and walk with you?”
“Good question. Cause I’m most likely going to go out that door to get tested on or
something right about.. Now.”
Salman walked back into the room, beckoning to Taekjoo to follow him. Taekjoo walked
over obediently, while Zhenya watched. He rose to his feet and just as Taekjoo was about to
leave, he tightly grabbed his wrist.
“Where are you going?"
“Zhenya, let go of me. I’ll be back, they’re just..” He glanced over at Salman, who was just
watching the two with curious eyes. Taekjoo looked back at Zhenya, who frowned and
tightened his grip around Taekjoo’s wrist.
Taekjoo released a groan of pain and tried pulling his arm back, he furrowed his brow, very
visibly frustrated with Zhenya.
“Zhenya.”
“Taekjoo.”
“Let go of me.”
“Why should I?”
“Do you want to come with or something? Let go–!”
“Do I?”
“Wh– what kind of question is that?! Let go of me.”
“Okay.” Zhenya let go of Taekjoo’s wrist, a mocking glint in his eyes. He seemed to enjoy
acting like some kind of child clinging onto a parent. Taekjoo frowned, was this kid trying to
toy with him? Taekjoo glared at Zhenya, rubbing his wrist. He sighed and turned around, a
bright red hand mark still imprinted on his wrist. Salman glanced at it before walking out,
leaving Zhenya just standing there, staring at their backs as they got farther and farther.
—-----------------------------------
Taekjoo shivered as he stepped foot into the testing chambers, which was essentially almost
the same as the rooms he was always trapped in, usually alone. But, now he had a
‘roommate’.
Taekjoo’s gaze swept over the area, noting how similar yet different the testing chambers
were compared to when he last saw it.
Inside the room there was an area where glass separated them, past the glass there were test
tubes, some with people floating inside, some without people. He glanced around cautiously,
there could be anything that can happen. Finally, they stepped into a separate room, and
Salman went behind the glass. Taekjoo narrowed his eyes, his ears twitched as the doors
slammed shut, both the entry/exit door and the door to get past the reinforced glass. The
reason he couldn’t just break the glass and leave is because it was REALLY strong, and he
has tried to break it before. The moment he touched the glass, something– probably an
electrical current of some sort knocked him unconscious, and when he woke up his energy
was completely drained. The part of the glass that was strong wasn’t the glass itself
technically, rather, the mechanics of the glass, if that makes sense.
Taekjoo sighed, his gaze rising to the glass. “Well? What now?”
Salman nodded to a random scientist, who went in holding a syringe. They flicked the glass
syringe, Taekjoo sighed as he watched, his gaze flickering down to the floor.
“Let’s just get this over with.” he muttered, closing his eyes as he felt the scientist start to
disinfect the area where they would inject.. whatever. It could be something dangerous, or it
could be something good.
—--------------------
Zhenya leaned back against the wall, his gaze downcast.
He really didn’t have many memories of his childhood, he just knew it was painful. His
parents were neglectful and would usually just ignore him or completely blame him for
almost everything, they always praised his siblings, while he remained in the dark.
Accompanied by nothing but darkness and his own deteriorating mind. He was only a child.
He sometimes wondered what he had done to deserve such loneliness. Was it perhaps
something in his past life? Another universe? Something?
He closed his eyes, starting to recall his past, before he was just handed over to the facility by
his parents. He vividly remembered getting kidnapped, maybe when he was around 6 or 7.
Most of his memories were blurry, not very clear. But he could remember parts and fragments
of his childhood.
“Arrogant brat!” █████ shouted as he jammed his foot into the child’s stomach.
There sat a blonde haired boy, tied up. His arms and legs were scattered with bruises and
open cuts, blood ran down from the child’s mouth. His hair was disheveled and just overall,
he was looking really bad. █████ glanced down at the child, smirking before reaching
down for him, a strange look in his eyes.
The child’s eyes widened slightly as █████ grasped the top of his shirt and started to tug
on it, but before he could do anything, there was a loud explosion heard nearby. Everyone
looked up, glancing around confused. As they were distracted, the child kicked away the guy
who was closest to him, and struggled out of the ropes binding his arms and hands. █████
staggered back, groaning softly before his face contorted into anger, as he raised his fist, an
explosion boomed behind him, destroying the entrance to the warehouse.
Everyone in the warehouse snapped their attention to the entrance, almost completely
forgetting about the child, Yevgeny.
He escaped the ropes and kicked the nearest guy down, and then when their guard was
lowered, he grabbed them and used them as a shield to run out. Although he still got some
small burns, the body mostly took most of the burns. Once outside, he threw the lifeless,
charred body to the side and looked back, the building slowly going up in flames.
He turned around once again and saw his family, just then, he felt a deep, burning resentment
arise up inside him. As he stared up at his family, all pity or regret, any other emotion he felt
for them was gone. What he felt now was just anger.
Weeks after that, his family started to debate what to do with him. If he was gonna get
kidnapped left and right, it’d be a hassle to just keep him. Only two people were going
against that idea, his sister, and his mother.
His sister, Olga, argued against his parents, but ultimately couldn’t do anything at all. While
his mother.. Days after disagreeing, she died under unknown circumstances. She most likely
got killed or assassinated due to the disagreement, the reason why Olga wasn’t killed was
most likely because she was one of the more important children/siblings, and had much more
of an influence for some reason.
He snapped his eyes open as the doors to the area opened up, and Taekjoo just got thrown
back into Zhenya, who caught him with ease. He glanced down and saw he was unconscious,
his arm had another bandage layered over it. He raised an eyebrow, glancing up at Salman.
“He’s only unconscious, don’t worry. He’s fine, okay, bye.” Salman then turned around and
closed the door.
Zhenya laid Taekjoo against the wall, sitting down beside him. For some reason, Taekjoo
looked a bit paler than before, and that got Zhenya wondering what happened when they
were experimenting on him. Did they just extract blood from him?
