Ross: Building blocks of a larger pattern. I what I want to talk about is how
to construct a really good pattern so you can learn to construct your
own, and inside of that to look at the work horses. The real work
horses of Speed Seduction, the stuff that pulls the freight are the
suggestions, commands, weasel phrases, trance words, and
conversational frameworks.
Do you know the story of the Trojan War, or have you heard some
aspect or have you seen the movie? Can you tell me a little bit
about what the Trojan horse was?
Participant: It was a big constructed horse of the Greeks gave to their enemy
Trojans as a way of saying “we surrender and here’s our gift.”
Inside there were actually Greek soldiers hiding so that the Trojans
would accept it, bring it into the gates, they could sneak out at night
and capture the city without their defenses.
Ross: Very good. You did very well. Just as a side note, did the story of
Troy really happen or is it a myth? They think they’ve found Troy.
It’s in Turkey, right? Here’s an assignment just for fun. Go pick up
the Marvel comics graphic novel version of the Iliad and the
Odyssey. They now have it in comic book form. It’s actually quite
interesting.
Suggestions and commands – especially commands – are like
those little Greek soldiers. All the conversational frameworks,
whether it’s telling a joke or a classical pattern like Discovery
Channel, whether it’s a game or a quiz like Twin Brothers are the

Trojan horses inside of which we put our little soldiers which are
suggestions, commands, weasel phrases, trance words – but
especially suggestions and commands. They are delivery vehicles
for those things. That’s what they're there for. Understanding
suggestions and commands and being able to use suggestions and
commands and how to set up the way in which you use
suggestions and commands is one of the little subroutines inside of
Speed Seduction that run and power the rest of the routine.
Let’s do a little short course on this and break this down further and
enhance your understanding. Understand this: if you're in the right
state and with the right kind of woman, sometimes just delivering a
few suggestions, getting her responses, and marrying them back,
amplifying a little bit, is sufficient.
Many of you who are very analytical thinkers might stumble a little
bit on the distinction between suggestions and commands. They
are very related. They are interrelated. I would say just as a basic
understanding, suggestions support commands. Suggestions tell
the unconscious mind what interpretation, what meaning to give, to
the commands that are being given. We’re going to get to this and
break it down further, but I just want you to understand they are
different. Don’t get too tied up into it.
What do commands do? The first thing commands do is they set a
direction.

By the way, I was driving down the Harbor freeway coming back
from an appointment in San Pedro in L.A. I’m not making this up.
By the side of the road, they had a business. “So-and-so
Construction: we are aggressive erectors.” I’m not kidding. I wanted
to pull to the side of the road and take a picture.
What commands and suggestions do is they directionalize the
brain. They directionalize the mind and tell it what kind of direction
to start moving in. A metaphor that one of my ex-mentors who
belongs in prison – he ran away to South America I found out
recently – did some good teaching.
He said, “In the beginning when I seek the influenced people, I’m
just trying to get them to move in a certain direction. I want them to
get on the San Diego freeway. Then I want them to get on the San
Diego freeway headed south. Then I want them on the San Diego
freeway headed south in the furthest left-hand lane. Then I want
them in the San Diego freeway heading south in furthest left-hand
lane driving 55 miles an hour.”
Commands and suggestions are supporting the mind and the
physiology and the neurology moving in a certain direction.
Commands can tell people to think certain thoughts. By “certain” I
don’t mean “I’m sure” but they can tell them to think thoughts.
Commands can tell people to feel feelings. Commands can tell
people to take actions/do behaviors. Basically, fundamentally, it
comes down to think, feel, and act. We’re going to get into SRT
(signal recognition), too.

Those are the basic categories. Our suggestions and commands
can tell or lead a woman to think certain thoughts, feel certain
feelings, or do certain actions. That’s very simple. Those are the
categories.
For example, within the subset of commands that deal with
thinking, let’s deal with thoughts. The thought commands have to
do with things like if you're giving people embedded commands to
think certain things, you can use words like “think.” It’s not
necessary to think about that. You can say think, picture, imagine,
wonder, recall, realize. These are the kind of words that would
make up thinking suggestions and commands.
“You know, Debbie, my friend, Sally says when you picture those
kinds of thoughts inside your mind, there’s a new direction that
often pops up.”
Picture, imagine, wonder, recall, realize, think – write those down.
“You know, Debbie, my friend, Sally said if you were to think about
getting something you really want, it could cause a new direction to
pop up very powerfully in your mind.”
Recognize/consider/ponder/wonder/anticipate your desire to take
action – some of these words in and of themselves have a trance
quality. I like to think of them as trance words.

For example, if I say wonder. “You know, Debbie, if you were to
stop and just wonder about meeting someone really amazing,
someone who just causes you to feel your opening for a new
direction you've been thinking about taking inside for a long time
,what would be the first recognition you get, the first feeling you get
on the inside to let you know that’s taking place?” It would almost
be like you're looking through a window of desire.
Those are examples of words that themselves have a trance-like
quality. I call them trance words: wonder, ponder, imagine.
These are words that tend to really activate the unconscious. These
are think, feel. Well, basically, the only one I use is “feel.”
“You know, Debbie, I can’t believe guys are so fucking rude. I can’t
believe it. My friend said that her roommate was out in the bar and
a guy said, ‘If you were to feel your pussy getting very wet right
now, because you could imagine my cock ramming you from
behind.’”
Feel just as feel. What kind of things do we want? By the way, for
putting together the command, feel what? What kind of things do
we wanted to feel? Sometimes it’s vague. Sometimes we could just
say, “When you feel thatE”
But what kind of things do we wanted to feel? Desire, curiosity,
fascination, lust. Understand as far as these descriptors, what it is

that she’s going to be feeling (feel desire, feel curiosity, feel
fascination, feel, lust) are good. These are what I would call first
order or first level descriptors. We’re telling her what to feel. You
can call these descriptors. This is my own terminology. I call these
descriptors.
The descriptors you're just filling in the suggestion. So if suggestion
starts with feel, what are you going to tell her to feel? Feel nausea?
The descriptors tell her. I would call this first order level because
they're not giving specific sensations. They're states. You're telling
her states. These are desire, fascination, lust, curiosity.
The other thing we add in is body sensations. A good pattern has to
have body sensations. If you do the Discovery Channel pattern but
you leave out and you feel your breath getting faster, you can feel
your heart beating, it lessens the impact of the pattern.
With that pattern, you're not only telling her to feel excitement, feel
anticipation, but you're describing the body sensation. “As you're
going up that first, long, slow clack, clack, clack, you feel the
anticipation, you feel your pulse racing through your body. You feel
your heart beating faster, feel your breathing starting to come even
quicker. Then as you're going down, you feel you're screaming with
excitement.”
We’re using some of these but we’re also throwing in some body
sensations. You feel what? You feel heart beat faster, flow of
warmth, moisture.

Participant: Adrenalin?
Ross: Adrenalin is somewhere in between the two. It carries such
common meaning of the body sensations that might be there.
Participant: Flood of sensation.
Ross: “Flood” is a metaphor. Some of these are metaphors. They straddle
the line. When you feel that “flood of sensation” that’s not precisely
describing what that is. If you break down “flood of sensation,” it
means you feel the flow of blood pulsing through. It carries with it
enough of a connotation of actual physical sensation that I’m going
to put it as something that straddles the middle.
It has one foot as a first order descriptor and a second order
descriptor. The second order descriptor breaks it down to the actual
physical sensations. So first order descriptor would be excitement.
You feel that excitement. A second order descriptor would be you
feel your heart beating faster, the breath coming more quickly, the
muscles relaxing. You feel the tingling. That’s a second order
descriptor. It’s actually telling the physical sensations.
When you say you feel that flood of excitement, first of all, that’s a
metaphor. It’s not really a flood. But it has within it enough of a
connotation that I think I would say it straddles both, but you’re
getting the idea. Just being able to speak in these terms is exciting

to women because this is how they think to themselves we guys
cannot do.
Participant: Also in doing this we are trying to combine language in a way that
is also eloquent.
Ross: I think it is eloquent in an emotional sense. It’s emotionally
eloquent. That is a new term: “emotional eloquence.” The art of
emotive eloquence. Which sounds better from a marketing
perspective?
Participant: Emotional.
Ross: Here’s a screwy thing. My outrageous claim is I can take engineers
and IT people and people who think scientific jargon and
vocabulary and teach them to be emotionally eloquent in a way that
women just can’t get enough of.
As part of that emotional eloquence, you begin to actually increase
your range of experience in the world. You begin to increase the
range and the flavors of emotional experience that you can have for
yourself, because by making you familiar with the vocabulary, I
open up your ability to experience it.
Remember what I said about language structuring consciousness
and consciousness reflecting knowledge? That being the case, if
you change the language in which you think and the language

which you communicate to others, you can’t not expand your
emotional experience. You have to by default. You will expand it.
That gives a secondary gain, that by itself.
A man who can expand his emotional expression of the world and
the depth, the flavors, and the textures gets more pleasure from the
women he does encounter and he becomes more attractive to the
women he encounters. It’s all win-win-win all the way down the
road.
What I’m doing is reaching down into the level which you process
language and open that up for you. Now you're motivated to do it
because you're going to get pussy. But it has a lot of benefits.
Feel, we understand. Think. And then commands can tell us things
to do, actions to take.
The number of actions are limited only by the number of verbs you
can think of. What’s a verb? Fuck (Debbie, it’s not important to fuck
me), blow, suck. “Can you bring me some coffee?” There’s the
command – bring me some coffee. Sometimes it’s do it. So, it’s not
important to fuck/blow/do it. It’s not important to “do it” or “do” that
or “go for it”. I like these. I call them the do-go commands. The do-
gos.
“You know, Debbie, I find when you feel that new direction coming
inside you and you can’t put the finger on the source of your

excitement, it’s not important to do it right now before you lose the
opportunity. But when you go for it and make that happenEwow.”
These take the form of do it – do, go, it, that. Do that, go for it. Let’s
call it the do-that-go-for-its. “It’s not important to do that. It’s not
important to go for it tonight, Debbie.”
Action commands can be blow me, suck me, bring me the coffee,
give me your money. They're actions that you want people to take.
“You know, Debbie, the more I think about new directionsE”
Remember I-You shift because I’m going to show you some sneaky
ways to do that. Write down false profession of ignorance. This is
one of my favorites.
We get these commands. Suggestions don’t tell people directly
what to do. Suggestions don’t take the form that’s directly telling
people what to do. Suggestions more shape the mind to
understand what’s going on. They give understanding and
meaning. Commands tell people what to think, feel, or do.
Here’s the distinction. Commands tell people what to think, feel, or
do. Suggestions shape meaning and understanding. Commands
are more solid. Suggestions are sort of amorphous, cloud-like.

For example, I’m giving Debbie a chain of commands and I say,
“Just because someone is thinking that doesn’t mean it’s on
tonight.”
“It’s on tonight” is a suggestion.
I’m going to give you two simple suggestions to use. “It’s on” and
“that’s happening.” Those are the only suggestions you're going to
use.
The purpose of the suggestion is to help the unconscious mind find
the meaning of all the commands that are received. You could tell
Debbie go for it, get laid, grab it, etc. But the suggestion would be
“that’s happening tonight” or “it’s on now.”
Let me do it this way. Commands help build all those feelings,
states, and flows activity. Remember I talked about that chain –
interest, attraction, desire, arousal, it’s on, go for it?. Commands
help create all those states. Suggestions help ensure that when she
gets to arousal, it’s going to move to “it’s on”. Suggestions don’t
create states. They do provide the meaning and the context to
receive suggestions such that the unconscious mind draws the right
conclusions from them.
They're not always necessary some people would argue at all, but
I’m being thorough. You want to use every tool at your disposal for

the moist, pink relief. I’m going to give you everything in the
arsenal.
Suggestions simply take the form of that’s happening, it’s on. There
are others. There are plenty of others. Just keep it simple. I used to
overwhelm people and get people 15 different techniques. They
had to recognize that was just me feeding that operating system
error of over thinking things. That’s not my intent.
