INSTRUCTIONS;

This paper is for the supervisor's use only, in consultation with the Art teacher. Attention
is directed to the syllabuses and to the standing instructions as given on the subject
syllabus.

Note:
Candidate will be instructed that ruling by any means whatsoever is forbidden except u•hen
mnarking offspace for name, index number and centre number.

The Art teacher should supply the candidates with cards measuring 5cm wide by 12cm
long with which the candidates will demarcate the area on the top right hand corner of
the front surface of the paper. In this area, the candidate
's name, centre and index number, in that order must be written clearly. This
area must not be painted.

The setter of the group of objects in this paper must interpret the sides mentioned in the
question set below i.e. left or right according to the position of the candidates facing the
objects.

The centre supervisor should ensure that- the teacher in charge of preparing
specimens does not substitute the specimens especially in the earlier instructions
with those of their choice. Otherwise the candidates' work will be considered
irrelevant
and hence will not be marked or graded.

SECTION A
STILL LIFE
EITHER
On a low table near a wall place around winnowing
basket to lean against the wall. In front of it towards
the right, place a mortar lying down in a % view with
its opening seen by the candidates. Besides the mortar
on the left, place a woven basket (Ekikapu) with its
upright posture at a % view. In between the basket and
mortar place a pestle to lean on the winnowing basket.

OR

On a low table, place a source pan in its upright


position. On the left sightly infront of the source pan,
place 3 litre jerrycan in its upright position facing
the candidates. In between the jerrycan and source pan,
place a plate with 2kg of meat on it.
On the right side of the plate, randomly place 2 tomatoes,
onions and a tin of royco. Place a mingling stick with its
flat side leaning against the jerrycan.

SECTION B
NATURE
Alternative A

Candidates should make a study or studies of a mature cock.

Alternative B
Candidates make study or studies of an uprooted maize plant
with a cob.

LAND SCAPE
