I’m Veronica Gaganting, I will be your assessor for Bread and Pastry Production NC II
I would like to acknowledge the Presence of Engr. Edwin Acejas our competency assessment center TESDA
(RTC) Zamboanga Peninsula, Miss Mary Joy Tunay our TESDA representative.
don’t worry on their presence because they are here to oversee and check if the conduct of competency
assessment is in accordance with TESDA’s prescribed competency assessment methodologies and
procedures. They will not assess you

perform all units of competency enumerated in Bread and Pastry Production NCII
Orientation
This assessment is to determine your competency. Qualifications to be assessed are the basic, common and
core competencies.
For the core competency we have FIVE
Prepare and Produce Bakery Products
Prepare and Produce Pastry Products
Prepare and Present Gateaux, Tortes and Cakes
Present and Display Petits Fours
Present Desserts
TASK TO BE PERFORMED AND EVIDENT TO BE COLLECTED
I will collect evidence through Demonstration, oral questioning and written test. This assessment method can
help measure your underpinning knowledge and skills.
DO’S AND DONTS DURING ASSESSMENT
If you have concerns, questions and there’s a need for you to clarify anything concerning the assessment
please asked for I am willing to assist you. Is there anyone here who have physical difficulties? Or difficulty in
understanding the given instruction? Please approach me so that i can assist, explain and translate it for you.
But once the assessment started, please refrain from asking questions because it is no longer allowed
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
For safety, please wear personal protective equipment and be careful with the tools that may cause short
circuit. If in case accident occur, please call me immediately so that proper first aid will be administered. In
case you need a first aid, we have a first aide cabinet at the right side of the assessment area.
ISSUANCE OF NC/COC
If you have passed the assessment and you are competent, For the issuance of National Certificate you can
claim it at the Provincial Office after 7 working days. It takes 1 day process, prepare 1 pc passport size
picture white background, with collar and 50pesos processing fee.
REASSESSMENT PROCEDURE
If found not competent- don’t worry about it you can be reassessed anytime at your own convenience.
In case the reassessment is full qualification you have to undergo the whole assessment process.
If NOT YET COMPETENT you will be reassessed the whole competency.
IF you fail 2 consecutive assessments, you are advised to take a refresher course before applying for
reassessment.
Rights and Appeal system
In case you’re not satisfied and have questions regarding the assessment results you have the right to
appeal, you can write a letter of your appeal which contains the name of the assessor, name of the
assessment area, nature of complain and sign it then submit it to the TESDA Provincial Office.
CONFIDENTIALITY OF ASSESSMENT OUTCOMES
With the result of your assessment, we observe strict confidentiality this is to ensure your integrity, this
result is only made available to the right personnel and to the institution where you had your actual training.
Please do not give any form of information that took place in the assessment process.

If you want to take your meal, we have a canteen outside the assessment centre.

NEGATIVE FEEDBACK. Candidate 2 Ms. Anne. How was the assessment? I was impress the way you prepare
the pastry products, but the taste is not acceptable. You put the ingredients not in the specific use. I am
sorry you are not able to perform within the standard requirements of this qualification. You have to practice
more in making pastry products.
You can comeback after 1 month for reassessment or when you feel confident enough to perform Bread and
Pastry production.

Miss Carla I’m submitting herewith the complete set of assessment documents and assessment results. Out
of 10 candidates 9 were competent and 1 is not yet competent. Thank you
