Discuss the prevention of STIs.
Recognize the importance of seeking medical care when necessary.

A Sexually transmitted infection is majorly transmitted through sexual intercourse.
Common STIs include chlamydia, syphilis and gonorrhoea
Each sexually transmitted infection is caused by a particular micro organism and has it's
symptoms.
STIs can be prevented by abstinence from unprotected sex, health education, correct and
consistent use of condom and avoiding multiple partners.

Sexually transmitted infections are illnesses that are caused by bacteria or viruses which are transmitted
through sexual intercourse with an infection person.
