II PU English Question Bank 2025 Final
II PU English Question Bank 2025 Final
II PUC
Since the publication of New Model Question Paper by the KSEAB, there was a constant
query – ‘Why do we have a change in the pattern of the question paper?’ The pattern of the new
question paper aligns with the Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy. It also falls in line with the policy of
providing 50% internal choices for the net marks i.e., the question paper is set for 120 marks out of
which students must answer for 80 marks. So, an internal choice of 20 marks on the course book
and 20 marks on the workbook is provided.
The present pattern of II PU English Question Paper has MCQs, 2 marks, 3 marks and 4
marks questions. 6 marks questions which were a part of the previous question paper pattern stand
discontinued. The following is a list that provides indicators for the two, three and four marks
questions:
(For more information, please refer to the General Instructions provided along with the model
question papers published on KSEAB website and Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy)

A note on MCQs
1. The MCQs in the Question Bank are created to provide students and lecturers with a
wide variety of MCQs with a special focus on HOTS.
2. Obvious and direct questions are deliberately omitted, keeping in mind the familiarity with
the text.
3. Questions on crucial elements of the lessons / units which contribute to the development of
the main themes are focused.
Things to Remember
1. Follow ‘Weightage Framework’ (fixed) while preparing a ‘Blueprint’ (variable) based on which
a question paper is set. Minor variations are allowed while designing the blueprint.
2. Follow the internal choice system indicated in the General Instructions published by KSEAB.
3. Use appropriate vocabulary while framing the question. Avoid literary terms while asking
questions.
4. Most of the questions given at the end of each unit / lesson in ‘Springs’ are teaching questions.
These questions are to be avoided in the question paper.
5. The question paper setter has the liberty to frame HOTS questions from any lessons / units
of his / her choice, but such questions should not exceed the limits set by KSEAB.
