Good morning ladies and gentlemen.

On behalf of group 4, my name’s… Today

I’m here to present to you about Family Day in Vietnam. I’ll start with the
history of Vietnamese Family Day. As per the presentation, Vietnamese culture
values respect, education, harmony, and loyalty to family. It’s a tradition in
Vietnamese culture for older men to be the head of the household and
children are educated from a young age to know how to treat older members
with respect and care. To keep this cultural aspect, Deputy Prime Minister
Pham Gia Khiem chose June 28 to celebrate Family Day, which has been
observed every year since then. This day celebrates the Vietnamese family and
it's also an occasion to remind everyone to reunite with family and treasure
the precious moments with their loved ones. So now we move to come to the
next point, what do people often do to celebrate the day? During Family Day,
many different cities in Vietnam organize festivals and many sports games for
families to join in. Another activity is commonly done in Family day is take
photos with family to capture precious moment then once a year, the whole
family will sit together and review memories. This act help strengthen family
bonds and create a sense of nostagia. Busy life makes us caught up in the
hustle and bustle of work. Consequently, on this occasion, family members can
gather and cook a delicious meal together while sharing and talking about their
lives. Besides, people also give gifts to their families as an act of gratitude and
expression of affection. To conclude, Vietnamese love this family day because
it reminds them to express their love to others and strengthen their family
bonds. That’s the end of my talk. Thank you for your attention.
