Landscape
              The SAP System Landscape, often
referred to as the Server Landscape, is the
              structured arrangement of various servers
and environments used to support SAP
              applications during their lifecycle
SAP System
Landscape / It typically follows a multi-tier architecture
              to facilitate development, testing, and
              production activities without interfering with
Server each other
Landscape
A standard SAP landscape consists of
              three main systems
+ Purpose: This is where all the
                   customizations, configurations, and
                   developments are performed
                 + Clients
1. Development + Customizing Client – used for
                       configuration
System + Development Client – used for
                       development work like ABAP coding
+ Transport Management System : After
                   successful development, the changes are
transported to the Quality Assurance system
                   via TMS
Purpose: It serves as the environment
             for testing
                                      Testing Client – for end-
                                      users or consultants to
2. Quality
             Clients perform functional,
                                      integration, and user
                                      acceptance testing
Assurance
Validation: Any bugs or issues are
System addressed before moving the changes
             to the Production environment
             Security Testing: Roles and
authorizations are also tested in this
system to validate user access levels
Purpose: This is the live system
                where the actual business
                transactions are processed
3. Production Data Integrity: Contains real-time
data and is critical for day-to-day
System
                business operations
                Stability: High availability, security,
                and performance are essential in
                this environment to ensure
                smooth business operations
Additional + Sandbox Environment: A separate system
often used for experimenting or testing new
Components in concepts without affecting the main
                  development environment
Complex + Pre-Production : An optional system that
mirrors the Production system for final
Landscapes performance testing before deployment
Transport + Role: TMS controls the movement of
Management configuration and code changes across the
               landscape
System
                Risk Mitigation: Changes are
                thoroughly tested in a non-
                production environment before
                going live
Key Benefits Streamlined Processes: Ensures
of SAP System smooth transitions from
                development to production
Landscape
                Business Continuity: Protects the
                live environment from potential
                disruptions by using separate
                environments for development
                and testing
