What is instance What is Data Center:
Instance / Tenant A physical location of servers where database is

What is environment in Landscape
It is set of servers where hosting of various
databases (SF cloud solutions) is placed
There are two types of environment in SF
1. Preview
Preview Production 1. It is actually a test environment
Upgrade After 4 weeks where new release is published
Environment Environment 30 days or 4 weeks before
production
2. Customer can adjust
requirements / new features
and test before move to

1. It is a stable environment which
fully tested and accepted
