11. A businessman wants to install two types of machines P and Q. Machine P

needs 4 operators and occupies 5m of space, Machine of type Q needs 5

operators and occupies 10m of space. There are up to 100 operators available

and 150m 2 of space.


i. Taking x to represent type P machine and y to represent type Q

machine, write down two inequalities in x and y in addition to x0 and

y0
ii. Using a scale of 2cm to represent 5 units on the horizontal axis and 2cm
to represent 5 units on the vertical axis, draw the graphs to show the
region represented by the four inequalities by shading the unwanted
region.
iii. If machine P makes a daily profit of K400 and machine Q makes a daily
profit of K600, calculate the maximum daily profit the businessman can
make.
