Society for Biotic and Environmental Research (SBER), is glad to announce that Biotic Science Congress,
2024 (BioSCon, 24) is to be held at College of Agriculture, Kyrdemkulai, Ri Bhoi, Meghalaya with generous
support and cooperation from CAU (Imphal).
BioSCon, 24 provides a unique platform for academia, researchers, industries and professionals to discuss
and share their knowledge in the field of Agriculture and allied Sciences. This conference will cover the new
research techniques and concentrate on the following themes related to Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry,
Ag. Engineering, Biotechnology, ITK, Economics, Extension, Fisheries, Animal Sciences, Dairy Technology,
Hydroponics, Silviculture, Sericulture, Alternative agriculture, Home Science and all other allied sectors
including Life Sciences.

the number of opportunities for you to network with colleagues from across the world but also introduced more

About SBER
The Society for Biotic and Environmental Research (SBER) came into existence on 2018 in Tripura under Act XXI
of 1860 (Regd. No. 8067 of 2019/ NITI Aayog ID No. TR/2019/0229149) in Tripura as a Non-profit scientific
and educational society of likeminded academician, researchers, scientists from all over the nation for the increased
furtherance and diffusion on knowledge of Life Sciences in general and Environment Science in particular. The
main objective of the society is to make attempt for the development and extension of scientific research related
to Life Sciences including Agriculture and allied branches and implementation of these research out comes in the
upliftment of scientific and farming community. Its major aims and objectives include promotion and dissemination
of innovative research outcomes among young minds and researchers, setting up regional and state Chapters, to hold
national/international level conferences, symposium, seminars, training, brainstorming sessions and meetings.
In association with BIOTICA publications one of the leading publishers of India, SBER is publishing three peer
reviewed international journals i.e. Research Biotica, Biotica Research Today and Plant Health Archives. Other
than various social work, training, awareness program, SBER is also organizing Biotic Science Congress (BioSCon)
annually where Scientists, Researchers, Professors, Students, Entrepreneurs in farming business and Policy makers
are getting chance to share recent advancement in scientific research and bringing out some truly innovative ideas
that are helpful to the scientific community as well as farmers to strengthen the farm production.
About CoA, Kyrdemkulai
The College of Agriculture (CoA), Kyrdemkulai, Ri Bhoi Meghalaya is a constituent college of Central
Agricultural University (Imphal), Manipur. College of Agriculture, Kyrdemkulai, Meghalaya, was
established in the year 2015 with the goal of educating and training graduate students of agriculture
from the North Eastern Hill states. The students trained from the college are expected to be the
future leaders for developing and directing the region’s agricultural and allied sectors in a sustainable
manner. These students will lead the farming communities of the region for enhancing their income
and livelihood effectively.

How to Reach the Venue


The college is located at Kyrdemkulai, Ri-Bhoi District, Meghalaya about 9 km from
the National Highway-6 (New). The college is 38 km away from Shillong, the Capital of
Meghalaya, about 78 km from Guwahati, Assam and about 20 km from the College of
Post-Graduate Studies and ICAR Research Centre for NEH Region, Umiam. The college
is 30 km away from Shillong Airport and the nearest railway station is Guwahati, located
85 km away from the college. Sumo and private/share taxis are plying over the national
highway. The temperature during September ranges between 15°C – 20°C.

Organizing committee invites delegates / participants to submit abstract for presentation (oral or poster) along with full
paper under the given thematic areas. All accepted abstracts shall be published in a book of abstract and an e-copy will
be circulated on or before the conference day.
Submission of Full Length Papers: Only good quality full length selected research/review papers/articles will be
published in the following journals without paying any publication charges: Research Biotica (ISSN: 2582-6743), Plant
Health Archives (ISSN: 2583-9659), Biotica Research Today (ISSN: 2582-6654), Innovative Farming (ISSN: 2455-
6521)
Submission of Book Chapters: Delegates desirous of availing the opportunity of publishing a a book chapter (Open
Access/Closed Assess) of 12-15 pages in double space, Times New Roman font and 12 font size in any of the conference
theme may submit their MS on or before 27th October, 2024 to the email id : bioticabooks@gmail.com. Chapter
processing fee is Rs. 1000/- only. All the books/chapter will be available online with Crossef DOI and ISBN. All the
chapters will be indexed with renowned data bases and authors will be provided with DigiAuthor membership. Book

 The manuscript / abstract must be in English with the title of the paper, name of Author(s) and designation. Abstract
strictly not more than 300 words.
 Title should be clear, descriptive, not too long typed in bold letter in upper-lower case. Use subjective statement only.
 Title will be followed by name(s) of author(s) which will be followed by complete address of affiliation with PIN/ZIP,
without designation, superscripted with numerical, e.g. M. K. Deb1, S. S. Rathore1, S. B. Singh2, P. K. Yadav3 and Prakash
Singh4 followed by address of affiliation.
 All abstracts must be submitted through online or sent as e-mail attachment to bioscon.sber@gmail.com addressing
the Organizing Secretary
 Submit abstract on or before 5th November, 2024, as per the guidelines. Authors guidelines for full paper submission
is available at www.biospub.com.
PEER REVIEW PROCESS:
All manuscripts are subject to peer-review/plagiarism check and are expected
to meet the scientific criteria of significance and academic excellence.

P RESEN TAT I O N
Abstracts in different theme areas as mentioned will be selected for oral / poster presentation. The lead speaker
will be given 15 minutes time (including discussion) for presentation.
 The speakers of contributory papers will be given 8 minutes (Max. 8 slides) including discussion.
 For poster presentation, the size of the poster will be 80 cm (B) x 100 cm (L), briefly showing title, Author’s
Name & Address, Introduction with Objective, Methodology, Results and Discussion (Tables, Figures and
Photographs), bulleted Summary or Conclusion.
 The poster shall be attractive with appropriate colour scheme so that the content is readable from a distance
of at least one meter.
Note:
 Since oral papers and posters will be evaluated for awards, strict norms and timings may be maintained.
 The organizing committee reserves the right to delegate mode of presentation depending on the number
of papers and merit of the paper based on originality/novelty of research work on the themes of conference.
 Not more than two abstracts/papers from each participant will be entertained.
 Oral presenters must prepare the presentation based on the template provided by the committee. It is
available in the website or on request can be received through mail.

ACCOMODAT ION
Registration fee does not include accommodation charges and it should be paid by the participants directly to the hotel/
guest house. Hostel/Guest House facility (limited rooms) available at CAU/ICAR/NEPA guest houses with nominal
charges for Guests, Students and Research Scholars and it will be provided on the first come first serve basis. A number
of hotels are available around the Shillong city and may either be booked directly or request for booking hotel may be
sent to bioscon.sber@gmail.com well in advance.

AWARDS
Applications are invited for SBER awards for the year, 2024 from all Scientists/ Researchers/ Extension Specialists/
Teachers/ Students/ Entrepreneur working in Agriculture and Allied disciplines. Notification, guidelines of
individual awards, score cards and application forms can be downloaded from the website www.sberindia.org. Duly
filled up and signed nominations/applications (soft copy) for awards in the prescribed proforma may be sent by email
to the Secretary, SBER at secretary.sber@gmail.com by 25th October, 2024.
Before filling-up the Application Form (special and distinctive awards), the candidates are advised to read General/
Special Instructions and other important conditions carefully.
