a well-deserved opportunity to relax and unwind by indulging in various activities. Your Holiday
Homework has been specially designed for you to be creative, innovative and imaginative while
completing your tasks. It will also enable you to recapitulate what was taught in the classrooms.
We hope you will play, learn, research, analyze, experiment, imagine, think, value, appreciate
and above all enjoy during your holidays.

READING
Q1. “There is no friend as loyal as a book they give us good company in sad and happy times”. Read
any book of your choice as holidays are the best time to bond with them even more strongly
than before.
“Newspapers are tutors as well as informers. It is a greater treasure for us than uncounted
millions of gold”.
Read an English newspaper daily as there are multitudes of benefits of reading it that help you
become an all-rounder.
WRITING
Q2. Learning how to cook is very essential for us as it can be useful in the future and vacations are
the best time to learn. Learn any recipe of your choice (Sandwich, Maggi, Pasta, Bhelpuri etc.)
and write down your experience of becoming a little chef by describing your overall cooking
philosophy. You can click pictures of the food item that you have prepared and paste them in
your notebook.
Q3. ‘A natural disaster is an event that occurs unexpectedly and causes harm to society’. Write a
paragraph on ‘Natural Disaster’ that occurs frequently in our country or you have seen recently
on TV. Paste a picture also.
Q4. Write 50 sentences based on Declarative (15), Interrogative (15), Imperative (10) and
Exclamatory (10).
(Note-Sentences should be different from grammar book).

Applications and Chapter-8 “Shapes, Patterns and Nets” in your mathematics book.
Q3. During a hurricane, 357 trees fell in a park. After the storm, 149 trees were removed by the park
authorities. Later, 81 new trees were planted in the park. How many trees are there in the park
now?

of what you learned from the video(s). Remember to mention the title of the video(s) that you watched.
❖ Weather Wednesday:
Every Wednesday find out the temperature of your place, note down the minimum and maximum
temperature and next week compare it with the temperature of previous week.
❖ Thoughtful Thursday:
Go through the international news headlines of the day. Note down the news headlines that grabbed
your attention the most. Study a little more about it.
❖ Fun Friday:
Read a book, article or story related to History, Geography or Civics. You may also solve quizzes, play
games related to Social Science.

These ordinary practices may bring extraordinary results.
❖ Talk to your grandparents/elders at home and ask them what are their core values and
principles in life.
❖ Help your parents in the household work like organizing, cleaning, cooking, laundry etc.
❖ Keep your room and study table neat and tidy. Remove clutter.
❖ Prepare a time table to schedule your activities. Practice a daily routine.
❖ Keep grains and water for birds on the roof/balcony of your house.
