II. Narrative Report/ Executive Summary

Honorable Mayor, Lem M. Faustino announced a Gulayan sa Paaralan last November 8. She
distributed different kinds of seeds that helped the schools to build their Gulayan sa Paaralan. The most
beautiful and resourceful in their gulayan will win the contest. The school asked to send a report or
documentation of the progress of the gulayan weekly to properly monitor by the municipal officers.
Week 1-November 14-18. We started to plant the seed first in a small box. Cleaned all the plots and dug
them. Also, we asked each student to bring plastic bottles with soil and piece of wood so that when the plants
grow taller, we have more pots to fill in.
Week 2- November 21-25. The seeds that we planted grow a little bit. While waiting the seeds to grow.
We build other alternative plots where we can put other plants. It also serves as the main plot. School utilities
and parents also helped to clean each plot. Other parents painted each plastic bottles with soil to become more
beautiful.
Week 3 -November 28-December 2. With the big helped of SPTA or School Parent and Teachers
Association we see the improvement of our Gulayan sa Paaralan. Also, each grade level assigned to maintain
the cleanliness of each plot. We transferred other plants that grow taller to the plastic bottles.
Week 4 -December 5-9-Each grade level put a signage of their section and name of the plant inside the
plots. Also, with the unending support of the SPTA they helped us to paint small plastic bottles and make it a
flower to add more designs.
Proper watering and caring the plants help the plants grow taller and healthier.

Hightide is one of the major problems in our School so that we think other alternative where our plants
will be planted.

V. Other Insights/Recommendations
The School Parent and Teacher Association (SPTA) and Homeroom Parent and Teacher Association
(HRPTA) supported the activity Gulayan sa Paaralan. They helped the school to build the Gulayan sa
Paaralan.
