produces 2.8kgs of ash and smoke as a byproduct .Calculate the mass of smoke released
( C)In the given double displacement reaction The mass of Na2SO4 is 100.67 grams and the mass of CaCl2 is X
grams .After reaction the whole mass of the reaction is 300.23 grams. Calculate the mass of CaCl2(X).

Physics
1. A cyclist rides his cycle with a speed of 30 m/s for the first half and the next half-length he covers with a speed of
45 m/s. Find the average speed of the cyclist.
2. A body moving in a circle of radius 'r', covers 3/4th of the circle. Find the ratio of the distance to displacement.
3. How long will it take for a body accelerating by 2 m/s2 to gain a velocity of 10 m/s, starting from rest?
4. Write and derive the equations of motion involving uniform acceleration. 9. Define a vector quantity giving
examples.
5. A car starts from rest and accelerates with 2 m/s2 for 10 seconds, After maintaining the velocity for 10 seconds, it
comes to rest decelerating 1 m/s2 i) Draw the shape of V-t graph. II) Find the maximum velocity attained and the
total distance travelled during the journey.
6. The brakes applied to a car produce a negative acceleration of 10 m/s2. If the car takes 5 s to stop after applying
brakes, calculate the distance covered by the car before coming to rest.
7. Draw a velocity-time graphs for the following (a) A body moving with a uniform acceleration. (b) Uniform
retardation (c) Zero acceleration.
8. Name a physical quantity that (i) varies (ii) remains same in a uniform circular motion.
9. Distance and displacement are two quantities that seem to mean the same but are different with different
meanings and definitions. Distance is the measure of “how much distance an object has covered during its motion”
while displacement refers to the measure of “how far is the object actually from initial place.” Using this data
answer the following questions.
a) Kapil travels 20 km North but then comes back to South for 40 km to pick up a friend. What
is kapil’s total distance?
b) Rahul travels 20 km East but then comes back to West for 10 km. Find displacement.
c) Define distance and displacement of a particle.
10. ) A body is said to have uniform motion, if it travels equal distances in equal intervals of time, no matter how
small these intervals may be. The distance travelled by an object in uniform motion increases linearly.
A train travels from one station to the next. The driver of train A starts from rest at time t = 0 and accelerates
uniformly for the first 20 s. At time t = 20 s, train reaches its top speed of 25 ms-1, then travels at this speed for
further 30 s before decelerating uniformly to rest. Total time for the journey of train A is 60 s.
Another train B is travelling in the parallel of train A with zero initial speed at t = 0 and then accelerates uniformly for
first 10 s.
At time t = 10 s it reaches its top speed of 30 ms-1, then travels at this speed for further 20 s, before decelerating
uniformly to rest. Total time for the journey of train B is 80 s.
a) What is the deceleration of the train A as it comes to rest? b) In which time interval, speed of train B is constant?
c) What is the initial speed of trains A and B? 11. Read about Newton’s Law of Motion
11. With reference to the content given in NCERT, find out the three laws of Motion?
12. Give examples showing applicability of the laws of physics in everyday life situation. Make a project file on how
physics is involved in sports , Dance and sounds of various musical instrument.
