Each Bidder's proposal amount shall include the work described herein.

This Addendum is hereby made a part of the Contract Documents. Unless otherwise indicated, the work
described herein shall comply with, and be equal in all respects to the original Specification and Drawings
accompanying same. Include incidental work required to properly complete the work, whether stated herein
or not.

RFI Questions and Answers


RFI Question 1: When does abatement start and how does that impact the construction schedule?
RFI Answer 1: Abatement will also start June 12, 2023. It will be a coordination effort between the General
Contractor and Abatement Contractor which rooms the GC will have access to.

RFI Question 2: Who provides the cores for the new door hardware and coordinates door function.
RFI Answer 2: The General contractor. There will be a pre-construction meeting between the school
administration, GC, and Architects office to review door function and keying prior to placing
the door hardware order.

RFI Question 3: Who is responsible to re-install door access controls?


RFI Answer 3: The school is responsible to re-install door access controls.

RFI Question 4: Who is responsible to remove the classrooms furniture?


RFI Answer 4: The school will remove classroom contents prior to the start of construction.

RFI Question 5: Who is responsible for PA & Clocks?


RFI Answer 5: The GC is responsible to install the PA & Clocks.

RFI Question 6: Who is responsible to perform the 3rd party testing


RFI Answer 6: It is coordinated by the GC, paid for by the owner.

RFI Question 7: Should a contractor want to submit a bid on more than one project, can all of the bids be in
one package / envelope?
RFI Answer 7: No - Each bid needs to be separated in its own package.

RFI Question 8: Should a GC want visit the school project prior to bid date what is the procedure.
RFI Answer 8: It is the contractor’s responsibility to review the job site, conditions, etc. prior to submitting a
bid. Contact the Director of Facilities, Mr. Jason Perkins @ (734) 231-8165 to arrange any
subsequent site visits to review the project conditions before or after the non-mandatory pre-
bid meeting.

RFI Question 9: Does the 5% of the bid bond need to include the alternates?
RFI Answer 9: Yes, please reference 00 1113 Advertisement for Bids section F. Bidders will be required to
provide Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond valued at 5% of the proposer's maximum Bid
Amount.

RFI Question 10: Does the costs for the performance and payment bond need to be included in the alternate?
RFI Answer 10: Yes, The Performance and Payment bond should be included for each component. Please
reference AIA 701-2018 article 7. 2. To clarify, the bond cost should be included in the base
bid for the base bid scope, and under each alternate.

RFI Question 11: Who is responsible to stake the site for the parking lot
RFI Answer 11: Does not apply at Annapolis High School

RFI Question 12: When is the last day questions will be accepted and answered?
RFI Answer 12: Per AIA Document 701 Section 3.2.2 – Bidders and sub-bidders requiring clarification or
interpretation of the biffing documents shall make a written clarification which shall reach the
architect at least seven days prior to the date for receipt of bids. Per Section 3.4.4, addenda
will be issued no later than four days prior to the date for receipt of bids except and
addendum withdrawing the request for bids or one which includes postponement of the date
for receipt of bids. Therefore, the last day that questions will be accepted is Tuesday
October 4, 2022 by 2pm.
