ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS

Global greenhouse gas emissions, 1970 - 2020 Emissions by sectors

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, were adopted by
the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and
ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without
compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs" - 1987 – by the World
Commission on Environment and Development (Brundtland Commission).
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
The Goals are adopted by all
United Nations Member States in
2015 after MDGs.

The 17 SDGs are integrated—

• Apply new techniques and strengthen consulting on cleaner production, strengthen the
construction of training institutions such as universities and colleges.
• Putting Japanese high-efficiency electric furnace into use in stamping and casting
PROMOTING CLEANER PRODUCTION factories, cutting CO2 gas, saving energy, improving productivity and product quality.
• Building a platform to promote cleaner production by linking with other training and
research institutions.
• Promote production of environmentally friendly products, improve product value
PRODUCTION OF ECOLOGICAL PRODUCT • Forming a certification mechanism for ecological

• Leveraging green IT tech, promoting the construction of a low-carbon society

DEVELOPING NEW TECHNOLOGIES
• Avoid using too much plastic packaging leading lots of garbage
SELL ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLT PRODUCT • Research and implement the recycling of containers and bags to store or pack when
buying products
• Carrying out agricultural activities with organic fertilizers such as compost, minimizing

• Green New Deal (GND) an eco-centered stimulus program. This
concept was first coined by Thomas Friedman in the New York
Times in 2007 as "Green New Deal" to end fossil fuel subsidies,
tax carbon dioxide emissions and create dynamic long-term force
for wind and solar energy.
• GND's origins stem from the United Nations Environment Program
(UNDP), which spearheaded a proposal for a new global green deal,
the "Global Green New Deal"

GND sets targets to reduce greenhouse

Implementation of GND is also aimed at changing, economic reform, cutting C02

CIRCULAER ECONOMIC

• The circular economy is a model of production and consumption,

which involves sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing
and recycling existing materials and products as long as possible.
In this way, the life cycle of products is extended.
• In practice, it implies reducing waste to a minimum. When a product
reaches the end of its life, its materials are kept within the economy
wherever possible. These can be productively used again and again,
thereby creating further value.

CIRCULAER ECONOMIC
• Saving money and reducing total annual greenhouse gas
emissions. Currently, the production of materials we use
every day account for 45% of the CO2 emissions.
• Reducing pressure on the environment, improving the
security of the supply of raw materials, increasing
competitiveness, stimulating innovation, boosting
economic growth (an additional 0.5% of gross domestic
product), creating jobs (700,000 jobs in the EU alone by
2030).
• Consumers will also be provided with more durable and
innovative products that will increase the quality of life and
save them money in the long term.

CONCLUSION

1/12/2023 39
CONCLUSION
• The Green Growth Strategy brings many benefits:
❖ For the industrial sector, to encourage
enterprises to use green technology, rationally
and economically use natural resources, and
control pollution effectively.
❖ For the transportation sector, implement a plan
to reduce CO2 emissions.

1/12/2023 40
CONCLUSION
• Green Growth brings both high economic
efficiency and a development-oriented strategy to
achieve the sustainable development goals set by
the 2030 Agenda.
• Green New Deal has also been released to
reduce the conflict points between economic with
environmental protection, more focus some
important points as reducing greenhouse gas,
employment rate increase and safety society.
