WAS GENOCIDE COMMITTED AGAINST THE ARMENIAN PEOPLE IN THE
OTTOMAN EMPIRE DURING WORLD WAR I?
In some countries, it is highly forbidden to mention the Armenian Genocide, which took
place during the First World War with an approximate number of one and a half million
Armenians exterminated. Currently around the world, there are still arguments whether
genocide took place in the Ottoman Empire, targeting the Armenians. However, Turkey
continues to firmly deny the fact that there was genocide, conceding that only deaths
occurred on both Turkish and Armenian sides during the World War Iand that the
Armenians mainly died to the poor condition during the War. Even though Turkey reject
that there were no such thing as genocide, many sources point to the sheer scale that
genocide occurred, such as the relationship between the Ottoman Turks and the
Armenians before the First World War, the death march, and the fact that only one
specific race had been purposely destructed. These points give an evident conclusion that
the Ottoman Turks had a systematic and organized plan in order to eliminate the
Armenians. Thus, genocide was committed against the Armenian people in the Ottoman
Empire during World War I.
Before the First World War broke out, the Ottoman Turks and the Armenians had serious
conflicts with each other. In 1908, a group of young Turks forced the Sultan out and took
control of the government and at first, they talked about bringing new freedoms to the
Armenian people.
Skateboarding Is A Popular Activity Among Youth
Nowadays, skateboarding is a very popular activity among youth, and has become an art
form to many enthusiasts. Skateboarding is a hard sport to learn. It s not something that
can be learned overnight. Even the top pros like Paul Rodriguez and Eric Koston still
learn new things even though they have been doing it for years. With skateboarding,
there are endless possibilities when it comes to tricks. When it comes to beginners,
learning the basics is the best way to start this great pastime.

First, you should know the anatomy of your skateboard. A skateboard consists of a deck,
trucks, wheels, and bearings. Grip tape is used to help your feet grip the board.
Hardware is used to bolt your trucks to the deck and nuts are used to fasten the wheels
on. For information on skateboard products, visit your local skateboard retailer.

When it comes to skateboarding the first and foremost thing you should learn is how
ride. Most people who have never ridden a skateboard get on the first time and wipe
out. Skateboarding requires a great deal balance. You must always maintain your
center of gravity directly over your board. If you lean too far back, chances are you
will fall backwards and the board will shoot out from under you. If you lean too far
forward, chances are you will fall on your face. Maintaining your weight directly over
your board, is the most important thing to know. You should practice by placing your
board on carpet or grass and standing on it with your feet over the
Walker´s Cycle of Violence
They way that current law reads in the use of the self defense claim is a person must
be in complete fear of death or bodily injury and the only way to avoid such death or
injury is to resort to the use of deadly force for self defense. Many women have been
sexually abused with the average being around the 60% mark (Ewing, 1990). There are
three stages to the Walker s cycle of violence and they are the tension building stage,
acute battering incident stage and the loving contrition stage (Ewing, 1990). The first
stage is one mostly of verbal abuse accompanied by some small physical abusewith the
woman trying to keep the batter less angry. The next stage is one of tension that
escalates and severe abuse takes place. The third stage is one of remorse by the
batterer and assures the woman that the abuse will not happen again. Unfortunately in
most abusive relationships the abuse does happen again and with each new event the
abuse is more hostile and severe than the prior events (Ewing, 1990). Learned
helplessness is where a victim feels as if they have no control over a situation with no
escape or way out of it. This applies to Battered Woman Syndrome because the learned
stimuli of not being able to control the abuse makes them believe that they can do
nothing to stop it so they lose their motivation to try and stop the abuse (Ewing, 1990).
There are many factors that keep a woman in an abuse relationship and vary by specific
cases. Some things that can hamper their ability
