oil refining.

One of the most interesting features of the Sieve Tray Oil Stripper is the fact that it requires lower operating temperature than other
strippers: the remaining 2-5% hexane solvent in oil are being stripped at a temperature which does not exceed 95°-105° C, while
traditional Disc & Donut oil strippers need to operate at 110°-115° C to obtain the same performance. This characteristic results
in second stage evaporator steam savings during the extraction process and less damage to the stripped oil - thus improving
downstream refining.

Another major advantage of the Sieve Tray Oil Stripper is the substantially lower residual hexane solvent left in the crude oil
after stripping. While «acceptable» level of residual hexane solvent left in crude oil is usually seen as 100 ppm (with 50 ppm
being considered “excellent”), we now have a number of units operating at about 105° C incoming oil temperature which are
consistently below 10 ppm residual hexane in the oil. This represents a true benefit in terms of «sustainability», as companies take
action to improve their environmental impact.
