(The teacher will then group the class into three. Each group will then have to do the
following:
I. Puzzle pieces will be given to each group to form pictures of the varied
Sources of Information. (Group 1: Online; Group 2: Print; Group 3:
Broadcast)
II. They’ll have to write examples of these sources of information.
III. One/two representatives from each group will present their work)

SOURCES OF INFORMATION:
1. Print Materials consist of all written/printed materials. Examples
of these resources are printed versions of textbooks, workbooks,
reference books, magazines, newspapers, and journals.
2. Online Materials are learning resources that are available online.
Common examples are blogs/vlogs, e-books, videos, mobile apps,
webpages, social media and e-mails/electronic mails.
3. Broadcast Materials are resources transmitted to public through
radio and television. Public service announcements, daily news,
weather forecast, interviews, documentaries, comedies, movies,
sports, and advertisements/commercials are typical examples of
broadcast materials.

b. Developing Mastery With the use of various sources of information, you may now compare and
contrast the information viewed from print, broadcast and online
platform.

Learning Task 1:
Identify the material to be used in each situation below. Classify each as to
PRINT, BROADCAST or ONLINE. Let’s do this orally.

materials.
