Virtual Training Only
When attending the training, please ensure you have the following:
• A quiet, comfortable place to work - We recommend that you do not attend from your
office desk if you are situated in an open office environment as this can be noisy and
distracting.
• A computer - If you're using a laptop, make sure that is plugged into the mains - don't rely
on your batteries.
• A quality headset with microphone - This is a must. We recommend a USB connection.
• Broadband Internet Connection - As a general rule a download speed between 2-3Mbp
and an upload speed of at least 0.5Mbp will be fine. Please be aware, if you opt to use a
wireless connection, this is likely to result in the sound dropping in and out as the session
progresses
We recommend participants are encouraged to log into the course session at least 15 minutes
prior to the start of the course to ensure there is time to resolve any audio and connection issues.
• If you have trouble logging in or your sound is not working correctly it is always best to close
all programs, reboot your computer, stop any background programs that are running and
log-in again.
• Check that your Audio is set up correctly and that your headset is correctly plugged in (if
this is a USB connection, it is always worth trying a different USB port if you have one).
• If you still have a problem call or text your Course Facilitator (contact details included
within the Joining Instruction email) but please be aware that if the session is about to start,
or has started, there will be very little the Facilitator will be able to do at that time to assist
you.
• Note: It may be best for participants to download the virtual online application being used
especially when working from a desktop or Apple device.
