    IQF Exam Guidelines

    Please do not change date/ time after starting the exam Green Belt Students have to complete the exam in 4 hours(maximum) after starting the exam Do not go back after answering a question The answers should have values up to 3 decimal places IQF Exam details are valid for giving the IQF exam only once Problem can occur if you use Mozilla Firefox browser. Try to use Internet explorer for giving the exam. If the computer crashes or the system gets hanged while giving the Fundamental Section of IQF Exam, you have to uninstall the software, restart the system and then install the software for giving the exam again. If the above problem still exists then try to install the software and give the exam in another system. Even then if you still continue to get error then send an email to gbspport@isl.co.in along with a screen shot of error message, if possible. IQF Exam (Fundamental Section) contains 30 questions which are common to Green Belt, Black Belt and Master Black Belt Course. Advanced Questions can be skipped by Green Belt and Black Belt Students. You need to answer questions to only those topics which are contained in the CBT. If your computer crashed, batteries failed or for any other reason you were unable to complete the Applications section of the exam, click this button to resume the Fundamentals portion of the exam execute "IQF Six Sigma Exam" as you did when you took the Applications section if the exam, enter your code, and the following screen will be displayed.

    Click the button to resume the Applications portion of the exam. Black Belt Students have to complete the exam in 8 hours. They have to complete the fundamental part of IQF Exam in 4 hours and then give the application part in another 4 hours. Application part of the exam can be given at a later date also After the installation of the exam software is complete on your PC and you try to run the software check, in case it gives an error "Run-time Error 429 : ActiveX can't create object"

    Then follow the steps given below for solving the error.
    NOTE: Due to security reasons form antivirus software installed and Windows security updates you may get an error

    In Such case please follow the following steps

    Step 1 Note the path in which the software is installed (normally it is. C:\Program Files\IQF or D:\Program Files\IQF) Step 2 Close all windows Go to Start ----> Click Run

    Step 3 Type regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\IQF\FMSSTAT6.DLL" or regsvr32 "D:\Program Files\IQF\FMSSTAT6.DLL" whichever is appropriate according to the path in the Textbox and click OK. Click OK to the "success" alert.

    Step 4. Do the software check. If it works you can take the exam. If there is any further problem please contact gbsupport@isl.co.in.

    Green Belt Students have to attempt section 1 : fundamentals section only and score a minimum 50% for obtaining the certificate. Section 2: Application Section has to be attempted by Black Belt Students. Green Belt students need not attempt this section. Instructions for IQF Exam Installation in Windows Vista 1. Insert the CD and Right Click the CD/DVD Icon in the Computer for opening it and copy the setup.exe (IQF Exam setup) file on the desktop. 2. Make sure you have administrator privileges on your computer 3. Turn off your Windows User Account by following the link below http://www.mydigitallife.info/2006/12/19/turn-off-or-disable-useraccount-control-uac-in-windows-vista/ 4. Restart the computer 5. Install the software in a directory 6. Click on the IQF Exam Software Check to check the compatibility. After the installation of the exam software is complete on your PC and you try to run the software check, in case it gives an error "Run-time Error 429 : ActiveX can't create object" Then follow the steps given below for solving the error.     Taking the IQF exam


    1. Contact Institute of Sigma Learning (gbsupport@isl.co.in) for your exam code. 2. The exam software is on the CD. Install the exam software. 3. Run the "IQF Exam Software Check" to ensure there are no software conflicts with the exam software. If you can view the screen shown below with no errors then the exam software will run on your computer.

    4. When you are ready to take the exam execute "IQF Six Sigma Exam". It is recommended that you reboot your computer prior to starting the exam. Click the

    "Code Check" button shown below to enter your exam code.

    5. Enter your exam code as shown in the figure below and click the "Click Here to Validate Your Exam Code" button.

    6. Status buttons will be displayed as your code is checked and exam questions are generated. When you see the screen shown below, click the "Fundamentals" button to begin the exam. You will be given 4 hours to complete the fundamentals section of the exam.

    7. Answer all questions. Be careful not to put spaces before or after your answers. When you have completed the Fundamentals section (30 questions), click the "Stop Exam" button and the exam software will be closed. 8. Start the IQF exam again as you did in step 5-6. Now the Applications section will start . 9. Answer all questions. Click on the next button and reach end of the exam. 10. Click the "Stop Exam" button and the following screen will be displayed with the exam score code. Use your right mouse button to copy this code to a word processor. You will need this code to obtain you exam results.

    11. To obtain your exam results send the exam result code to gbsupport@isl.co.in. 12. If your computer crashed, batteries failed or for any other reason you were unable to complete the Applications section of the exam, click this button to resume the Fundamentals portion of the exam execute "IQF Six Sigma Exam" as you did when you took the Applications section if the exam, enter your code, and the following screen will be displayed.
