INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHIEF SUPERINTENDENT TO
BE COMMUNICATED TO INVIGILATION STAFF
1. CHIEF SUPERINTENDENT.
Chief Superintendent will collect papers along-with paper custodians from teams of ECP
Islamabad for his own Center.
Chief Superintendent will be responsible for the provision of Question Booklets, OMR
Sheets and Attendance Sheets at all the centers on exam day and collection of the same
from centers and handing over to Paper Custodians in his supervision in safe custody back
ECP team of, Islamabad on the same day.
Chief Superintendent will caution the Superintendent that OMR Sheets has been packed
center wise. 50 extra OMR Sheets has been packed for centers having less than 1000
candidates and 100 extra OMR Sheets will be packed for centers having more than 1000
candidates. If the same are not utilized, they may be sent back in the same
envelope/packing.
Chief Superintendent will also ensure that the examination related material is complete in
all aspects and the OMR sheets/Question Booklets are sealed as per the data of the
candidates, already verified by him.
Chief Superintendent will ensure provision of Question Booklets/OMR Sheets at the
examination centers 90 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
Chief Superintendent/REC will randomly visit the Examination Centers to check the
implementation of the TORs. He will be solely responsible for the whole test of his Center.
Chief Superintendent will also keep record of No. of Envelopes provided at each test center
and record thereof will also be provided to this Secretariat.
Direction of the Halls/Rooms along with Roll Numbers assigned to the respective centers
will be prominently displayed inside/outside the entrance points.
Roll Numbers assigned to the Room/Hall will also be affixed outside the Room/Hall by the
Chief Superintendent.
Sanitization Items will be provided at each center under his jurisdiction, one day prior to the
examination.
2. SUPERINTENDENT.
Superintendent will be responsible for the whole center.
Superintendent will be responsible for maintaining discipline at his respective center, he will
also ensure that no long queues are made at the entrance points.
Superintendent will restrict/prevent assembling condition within center premises. Also, he
will not allow any unauthorized person in the center premises.
Roll Numbers/Rooms directions are pasted everywhere in center, visible to all for the
facilitation of the candidates.
The Superintendent will be responsible for Chalking out of Roll numbers on the seats.

Superintendent will ask Deputy Superintendent to check the Roll No. Slips of candidates, it
is permitted to make the correction if an omission exists in the name/NIC/addresses of the
candidates and the same must be corrected on Attendance Sheet.
Superintendent will hand over the required Question Booklets, OMR Sheets and
Attendance Sheets to the respective Deputy Superintendent 20 Minutes before the
commencement of the exam.
Superintendent will distribute the center wise packed OMR Sheets to the Deputy
Superintendent as per their requirement.
Superintendent will also keep record of No. of Envelopes given to each Deputy
Superintendent.
Superintendent will also give a testimonial page to each supervisor on which the signatures
of Deputy Superintendent, Invigilator, and one/two witnesses (candidates) will be inscribed
that the packet containing the Question Booklet was shown sealed to all the candidates in
the particular room and de-sealed the same in front of them.
Superintendent will ensure exam is commenced at 10:00 AM Sharp, Candidates were on
their seats 20-30 minutes before exam.
Superintendent will randomly visit rooms/halls during the Exam to keep check on
Invigilation staff as well as the candidates.
It would be the sole responsibility of the Superintendent of the Examination Centre to
compile the OMR Sheets/Question papers from the concerned Deputy Superintendent and
handing over the same to the Chief Superintendent/REC after the examination is over.
The Superintendent will also assist the Chief Superintendent/REC in accomplishing the
other relevant formalities during packing of the OMR Sheets/Question papers and
attendance sheets of their respective test centers.
3. DEPUTY SUPRINTEMNDENT
Deputy Superintendent is responsible for No. of Invigilators under his control/command and
for candidates in relevant Rooms/Halls.
Deputy Superintendent will try his best to resolve all necessary queries of Candidates
during the examination.
Deputy Superintendent will handover Question Booklet, OMR Sheets and Attendance
Sheet to Invigilators on exact 10:00 AM in Rooms/Halls.
Deputy Superintendent will ask Invigilators to check CNIC and Roll No Slips of all
candidates before commencement of the exam.
Deputy Superintendent will issue caution to all the candidates for leaving their
cellphones/calculators or other electronic gadgets outside the examination center.
Deputy Superintendent will also direct Invigilators to give different colored papers to
candidates at left, right, front and back.
Deputy Superintendent will give clear instructions to invigilators to give papers at 9:00 AM
and collect the same back at 11.00 AM sharp.
No candidate having disparities in the Roll No. Slip and NIC will be allowed to sit in exam
Hall/Room without the intimation/knowledge of the Deputy Superintendent.

4. INVIGILATOR
The invigilator will strictly follow the directions in letter and spirit, passed by the
Chief Superintendent/Superintendent/ Deputy Superintendent.
He must be vigilant to his designated duties during the examination.
He will be responsible to check the Roll number slip/NIC.
He will be responsible to get signatures of each candidate in his designated
room/hall over the attendance sheet.
He will open the sealed packets containing the OMR Sheets/Question papers
received from his concerned Deputy Superintendent before all the candidates.
He will present demo to the candidates of his assigned room to correctly fill the
OMR sheet of his own Name, NIC, OMR Sheet Color on it and advise them not to
write anything over the Question paper.
He will open the sealed packet containing the OMR sheets and the packet
containing the Question papers before all the candidates.
He will be responsible to get the prescribed requisite testimonial certificate by any
of two candidates and also inscribe his own signatures over there.
He must not allow any candidate to see hither and thither, during the examination.
He will try his level best to maintain a discipline in his respective room/hall.
He will sign all the OMR sheets/question papers of all the candidates, present in his
designated room/hall.
No candidate will be allowed to leave his seat before 60 minutes after
commencement of the Examination.
Before end of the given time, the invigilator shall announce in his room that 5
minutes are to go for attempting the paper.
He will be liable to get all the OMR Sheets/Question papers back from all the
candidates after the given time.
The Invigilator will not allow any candidate to leave the Examination
Centre/Room/Hall without submitting his OMR Sheet/Question paper to him.
He will collect the OMR Sheets/Question papers from all candidates and hand over
to his respective Supervisor.
Anyone among the invigilation staff if found helping the candidates shall be
proceeded as per E&D Rules, 2020.
If any Candidate is caught with cheating material, his paper will be cancelled and he
will be handover to Police.
None of the invigilation staff will be allowed to leave the examination center until the
center Superintendent has collected all Question Booklet/OMR sheet and sealed
them for handing over to Chief Superintendent.
