Series 2021

REORGANIZATION OF THE BARANGAY NUTRITION COMMITTEE

WHEREAS, DILG Regional Memorandum no. 94-04 dated October 12, 1994
whose subject is Organization/Reorganization Nutrition Committees at all local
levels;

WHEREAS, the National and the Barangay Government join hands to


improve the Nutrition Program to totally eradicate malnutrition which was caused by
the lack of proper Nutrition Program;

WHEREAS, to attain all the pursuits of both level of government and the
objectives of the program is to reorganize the Barangay Nutrition Committee;

NOW THEREFORE, I SAMMY C. SARMIENTO, Punong Barangay, by virtue


of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:

Section 1 Reorganization and composition of the Barangay Nutrition


Committee. Pursuant to DILG Regional Memorandum No. 94-04 dated
October 12, 1994, there is hereby reorganized a “Barangay Nutrition
Committee” to be composed of the following:

SK Chairman/Member

Section. 2 Duties and Functions of the Barangay Nutrition Committee, the


NBC shall have the following duties and functions:
1. Formulation Barangay Nutrition Action Plan;
2. Coordinate implementation and monitoring of agency/sectoral
nutrition activities;

3. Conduct periodic field visits and meetings to assess progress of


programs implementation;
4. Serve as resource group of Nutrition Program

Section 3. Meeting. The BNC shall meet at least once every quarter or as
often as may be necessary.

Section 4. Effectivity. This order shall take effect immediately.
