Standard Operating Procedure

Electrical Temporary Power Connection

Before we applying for Electrical Temporary Connection we need to calculate our


actual load demand because during this process we have to submit Electrical Load
Calculation, Electrical Load List, Plant layout, Government Survey Report, NA Copy,
Sale Dead, 7/12 Copy to Relevant Electricity Board

1. Visit DGVCL office (Relevant Electricity Board) and collect information regarding Power Availability,
Maximum How Much Power given by DGVCL (Relevant Electricity Board) in KW for construction
site, Know the process of how to apply for temporary power connection because procedure will be
different for different power companies
2. Fill Application form (Online/Offline)

Online :- If you submit your application online you need to go https://portal.guvnl.in/login.php


(Relevant electricity company website) then create account and then fill the require data
like.,Consumer type, Company name, Temporary connection require for how many days, site address,
Nearest Consumer Details
Offline :- You need to fill A1 form and submit the following documents at DGVCL Office (Relevant
Electricity board) with self attested and notary by authorized person

3. Documents Required for Temporary Power Connection
 Land NA
 7/12 Copy
 Municipal Survey Report (DILR)
 Sale Dead (Property Sale; Owner Name to Applicant name or Company)
 NOC from Gam Panchayat
 Resolution Certificate with Director Signature & Stamp (Take Connection on Company Name)
 Director & Applicant Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Photo
 Document must be self attested, Notary by Authorized Person

Required Documents for NOC from Gam Panchayat

 NA Copy
 7/12 Copy
 Municipal Survey Report (DILR)
 Tax Receipt (Mehsul Receipt)

4. Submit the application with attached documents file at DGVCL office (Relevant Electricity Board)
Registration Fee - 118 Rs.(Approx.)
5. DGVCL officer (Relevant Electricity Board) Survey Construction Site within 1-2 days
6. DGVCL officer (Relevant Electricity Board) after survey give estimation cost of erection of
pole,transformer, line charge, energy meter, etc., within 6-8 days
7. Make a Demand Draft (if estimation more than Rs. 10000/-) and pay to DGVCL (Relevant
Electricity Board)
8. After submission of DD, Pole erection and transformer installation work will be started within
5-6 days and after started work max. 2 days needed to set-up DP Structure.
9. We need to install ELCB/RCCB (according to load) near by DP Structure

10. We need to pay Rs. 24 (Approx.) Test Report Charge and submit ELCB/RCCB test report
certificate(Duly Sign with Govt. Approved Licenses Contractor) to DGVCL (Relevant Electricity
Board)
11. After Submission of Test Report DGVCL (Relevant Electricity Board) Team come at construction
site with energy meter (According to load) and give power supply to ELCB/RCCB (which installed
by us near DP Structure) through the energy meter and then seal the meter.
12. Now we can connect our site load to ELCB/RCCB outgoing side.

Note :- We need to ensure some points after power connection avail at site

1. Visually inspection of transformer which is provided by DGVCL (Relevant


Electricity Board) any type of damage or leakage found immediate inform to
responsible person of electricity board

2. Arrange the complain no. of relevant electricity board to used in case of


emergency
3. Check the Initial Reading in Energy Meter and confirm with document which is
provide by DGVCL (Relevant Electricity Board)

4. Check and Confirm Meter Seal Sr. No.

5. Check the Voltage rating


Phase - Phase (Min. 415 V)
Phase - Neutral (Min. 230 V)

6. Ensure the Earthing Connection of DP Structure and Transformer


Transformer Neutral Earthing - 2 Nos.
Transformer Body Earthing - 2 Nos.
DP Structure Body Earthing- 2 Nos.
Lighting Arrester Earthing - 2 Nos.

7. Maintain Register of Daily Power Consumption by Site Engineer

8. Transformer Yard safety point to avoid any type of accident

 Transformer area need to clean; unwanted trees, plants need to remove and up
to 1.5m of transformer surrounding area need to cover with fencing.

 We need to filling gravel stone in transformer yard to avoid slippage area in


transformer yard and avoid growth of unwanted plants in transformer yard.

 We need to put Electric Safety Sign Board around transformer yard and
execution work area
 We need to place min. 2 nos. Co2 Fire Extinguisher(4.5Kg Capacity) with
instruction chart and one set of sand bucket

 After Power avail at site we need to arrange all electric safety items like., HT/LT
Hand gloves, Safety Hook, CPR Guide Chart,First Aid Box, Fire extinguisher,
All Person must to be used PPEs when entering in construction site.

9. During the Project Execution we don’t waste energy, Save Energy slogan
should be put in site office & work execution area
