MKT 511 (LEISURE AND LIFESTYLE MARKETING)

GROUP PROJECT
Report Writing (30%) & Presentation (10%)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. This is a group project, and the students are required to form a group comprising of 6
MEMBERS ONLY.

2. Each group needs to choose ONE leisure business (i.e. accommodation/ tourists
destinations/ arts and entertainment/ leisure shopping/ restaurant/ recreation
and sports/ tour operators/ resort and hotel)

3. Each group needs to collect information as much as possible about the company.
The information should cover:

● Company background
● The analysis of Marketing mix (4Ps)
● Challenges faced by the company (due to pandemic, economic, social issue
etc)
● Future trends of the business

4. The information can be collected through document reviews, personal interviews with
the owners, observation, etc.

5. Each group needs to write a final report using the given format.

6. Report should be in infographic format and must not exceed 10 pages.

7. Use Arial 11 with 1.5 spacing for report writing.

8. The submission date is on Seminar 5 through Google Classroom.


GUIDELINES FOR CONTENTS

Following is a suggested guideline for preparing your case study reports (remember to
always use Harvard Business Style for all formatting and referencing as per the course
outline):

1. PRELIMINARY MATERIALS
● Cover Page
● Table of Content
● Executive Summary

2. COMPANY INFORMATION

An overview of the company and may include:


● Background
● Organizational Structure
● Products/Services

3. COMPANY’S ANALYSIS

1. Identify the information on the company’s:


● Product/ Service
● Price
● Place
● Promotion

2. Identify the challenges faced by the company and the business future trends
3. Suggest for future improvement for the business

4. CONCLUSION

● Sum up the main points from the findings and discussion.

5. REFERENCES

Make sure all references are cited correctly. Recommend that your source interviews,
business journals, periodicals, and textual references as well as any online research. Make
sure you support your ideas with facts and figures. Please try to use your own words and
ideas based on research rather than copy and paste other’s words from the internet.

6. APPENDICES (if any)


Attach any original data that relate to the study, but which would have interrupted the
flow of the main body. All charts, financials, visuals, and other related items can be
placed here and referenced in the report.
