Motivational essay
My name is Niculae A. Radu Vlad and I have graduated "Mircea cel Batran" National College, Constanta, mathematics and computer science profile, English bilingual, promotion of 2015. I found out about the educational offer of the The Bucharest University of Economic from former high school colleagues, currently studying at the University, and then, following the related website, and the one of the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics, I got informed about several aspects of interest, such as the list of specific subjects for each section, the variety of extracurricular activities and the internship opportunities. Therefore, I chose to apply to the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics, Cybernetics, Economic Informatics section, because I am convinced that it is a prestigious faculty in Romania, with competent and qualified professors in the IT and economic fields, who will help me to assimilate what the three years of study offer. Among the purposes for which I want to pursue this license program is the desire to discover which IT branch is the right one for my future career. Regarding my expectations of the educational process within this faculty, they relate to enriching programming and economics, so that I can become an active member of the family business in terms of working for the online matters, and to start a career during the faculty, through internship programs. I would also like to have the opportunity to meet important people in these fields or people with the right knowledge in order to always be up to date with the different technologies available on the market and to understand the present economic issues. For further thoroughgoing of undergraduate studies, I consider master programs a beneficial option. So after graduation, I also intend to obtain a master degree, having as a benchmark the chosen career path. Therewith, since high school I was actively involved in various extracurricular projects, such as participating in English Olympics, reaching the county stage, cultural events and volunteering. The most important of all was the participation in the “NASA Space Settlement Design” contest where, working as a team, we created a space station. The success meant winning several awards: 1st and 3rd place and a mention, my job being to 3D design the station and to deal with the economic problems. During the last year, following the accumulated experience, I was the coordinator of the team. Taking into account what was mentioned above, I would also like to volunteer as a student, in NGO’s such as ANOSR or SiSC. At the same time, I will take part in scientific sessions and apply to Erasmus + projects and internship programs. Concluding, I believe that the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics represents the appropriate academic environment to improve my high school skills such as analytical thinking, teamwork and effective communication and to discover new abilities.
