III. Procedure

3.1 Introductory Activity Let the pupils sing the “Shape Song” below.
(5 minutes)

“ I’m a square, I’m a square


You can see me everywhere

3.2 Activity The teacher will present a drawing and let the students
(5 minutes) color them according to their shapes.

*Orange for Square *Pink for Triangle

3.3 Analysis Guide Questions:

3.4 Abstraction The teacher will have her discussion about shapes and

 A shape is the form of an object or its external
boundary, outline, or an external surface, as
opposed to other properties such as color,
texture or material composition.

Square   is a regular quadrilateral, which


means that it has four equal sides and four
equal angles.
Circle   is a simple closed shape.
Triangle is a polygon with three edges and
three vertices.
Rectangle is a quadrilateral with four right
angles.
Star   is type of astronomical
object consisting of a
luminous spheroid of plasma held together by
its own gravity. 

 Color is the characteristic of human visual


perception described through color categories,
with names such as red, blue, yellow, green,
orange, or purple.
