in the classroom. This provides another venue for them to experience independent learning. It is in
this project that the School Planning Team and Project Team find at necessary to have the structure
to be used as SLRC.

 III- PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Department of Education (DepEd) under the leadership of Secretary Leona Magtolis
Briones, has taken significant measures to aggressively address and respond to the challenges and
needs of the times through a shared vision of quality, accessible & relevant basic education for all.
New programs, projects and activities have been carried out to benefit the learners, teachers,
administrator and other education stakeholders.

The department has envisioned the Public School for the future which is not only adequate
and convenience to learning but fully supported by the necessary facilities to support services for
both learners and teachers.

Aside from instructional rooms, schools should have the necessary support structure to
sustain its operation, administrative building with principal’s office, canteen and feeding room,
School Learning Resource Center, DRRM Office and stock room.

The school currently has no structure for Learning Resource Center. Student learning is
limited to classroom setting. Reading activities and other independent learning is only done outside
the classroom under mango trees. No formal venue for the learners to exercise learning and have
contact with varied learning materials.

The school administration with its Planning team spearheaded the realization of the goal of
acquiring School Learning Resource Center. It has been coordinated with the Parents-Teacher
Association.

Finally, it has been resolved to request the LGU Brgy. of Lower Marber to fund the said
project.
