3. Target Mean Strength of Mix Praportion

Target mean Strength , Fck’ = Fck +1.65x Standard Deviation

Where, Standard Deviation = 5 (As per IS 10262 )
Where Fck is Characteristic Compressive strength of mix, For M 30 Fck = 30 N/mm2 (As per IS:10262 )
Fck’= 30+1.65*5 = 38.25 N/mm2
As per MORTH Fck' = 42.00 N/mm2
4. Calculation
a. Selection of water Content

Maximum Water Content for 20 mm Aggregate = 186 Liter

Estimated water Content for 20 mm Aggregate for 100 mm Slump = 197 Liter
As per trial Basis adopted water Content = 163 Liter

b. Selection of Water Cement Ratio

As per trial Basis we adopt

Water Cement Ratio 0.41 < 0.45 Hence ok
Hence Cement Content = water Content/ Water Cement Ratio 398 Kg

Admixture Used = 0.00 % By Wt of Cement = 0.00 kg

c. Proportion of Coarse aggregate and Fine Aggregate

Ratio of Coarse aggregate by volume 0.62

Ratio of fine aggregate by volume 0.38

Remarks:-1. Homogeneous and cohesive concrete mix.
5 2. Achieved specified Compressive strength in 28 days as per norms.

Note: - 1. This design mix is valid for 7 & 28 days compressive strength.
2. This design mix only valid for sources provided by customer with given cement and admixture used.
3. This design mix is based on SSD condition of aggregates, water correction should apply for site moisture correction of fine aggregate.
4. workability of concrete mix should be adjust during temprature variation due to climate condition by adding or decreasing dosage
of admixture no extra water adding during mixing at site , only some admixture adding during losing the slump.
5. Special measure shall be taken in the site at the time of mixing, placing at laying of the concrete.
