Dear Sir,

We the reference to above mentioned letter sr no-1 from contractor in which contractor has submit the revised overlay
proposal for COS from Km 348+400 to 351+400 & 352+120 to 356+120 = 6.72 Km with reference to the above mentioned
sr. no 2 & 3.

As per letter sr. no:-2 from your end in which Authority agreeable the contractor proposal in the interest of work. Authority

shall b considered.

We have reviewed the contractor proposals along with cost implications, the details points mentioned below:-

1. Contractor submit the positive proposal amounting 6.44 Crore, & as per our calculation 3.13 Crore. As per
contractor letter sr. no-1 point no:- 5 contractor ready to work within existing Schedule-H & contractor cannot claim
any extra amount. Contractor should submit certificate from Authorized person.
2. Contractors consider BC-40mm & DBM-80 as per design report and rest thickness consider for DBM as Profile
corrective course. As per IRC:SP:73 clause 5.9.4 sr. no-(ii) in which the profile corrective course is not more than
40mm, so we can consider the balance thickness(more than 40mm) i.e. WMM & GSB Profile correction.
Contractor should submit the working cross-section showing all layer of Profile corrective course in 10m interval.
3. As per IRC:SP:73 clause 5.9.8- No granular layer shall be provided over an existing bituminous surfacing.
Situations may arise where it is envisaged to strengthen grossly deficient existing road with a granular layer in
addition to the bituminous overlay, or where for camber and/or grade correction substantial thickness of profile
corrective course is needed. In such cases, the existing bituminous surfacing shall be completely removed by
scarifying/milling and then the pavement built up with the granular layer(s) and bituminous overlay. Scarification /
removal of bituminous surface will be shown in working cross-section
4. As per IRC:SP:73 clause 5.9.11:- Pavement Performance Requirements and Evaluation
i) The strengthened pavement shall satisfy the minimum standard and maintenance requirements specified
for new pavement sections in this Manual and Schedule-K of the Concession Agreement.

5. During review of contractor proposal, consider GSB, WMM, DBM & BC instead of CT Sub Base, CT Base,
Aggregate inter Layer & BC because before handing over site to undersign contractor already executed approx
10.5 Km as per approved pavement design in which GSB, WMM, DBM & BC.
6. As per Contractors letter sr. no 1 point sr. no-2 the design period of the road is as per Pavement design is 15
years and overlay should be also r 15 Years. Required certificate from Contractor side.
7. Contractor should submit the revised/corrected Plan & Profile showing Curves, super elevations & Horizontal
