ABOUT THE POUR OVER METHOD

The pour over method is one ofthe fastest, simplest, and

of drip coffee where wateris poured in a very steady and slow
stream over a cone filter. This brewing style is highly
custom izable, allowing you to make a stronger or weaker cup
of coffee, depending on your preferences. Dating back to
1908, the pour over method was invented by Melitta Bentz

TIP #5

GRIND THE BEANS

YOURSELF

Avoid buying pre ground coffee beans.

Instead, grind the coffee your self to get the
freshest cup of coffee each time. Fresh
coffee begins to lose its aroma as soon as
you grindit. The best tasting coffee is ground
im mediately before the brewing process.

TIP #6

USE THE RIGHT GRIND

The appropriate grind should allow the coffee to finish

dripping through the cone filterin 2.5 - 4 minutes. If the
coffee is too coarse, the water will pass too quickly
through the filter. If the coffee is too fine, the water
would pass too slowly. Were commend a
medium grind to start. If your brew time is taking
too long (over 4 minutes) or too short (under 2.5
minutes), it is time to adjust the grind.

for each 18 g of water; or approximately 2 tbsp of
coffee forevery 8 ounces of water). Use a gram scale
to ensure properratios. Don’t be afraid to experiment
with the ratio. To dilute the strength of your
coffee, reduce the ratio (up to 1:30).To streng

seconds. The grounds will expand, releasing the
most desirable elements that have build up during
the roasting process. For an ideal bloom ,

over brewing process, you will need a
gooseneck drip kettle.The gooseneck kettle

kettle. The light consistent stream is needed
