A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson
Review the last examination least learned topics.
Mechanics: The class will be group into 3. Each group should have at least 3 who got high score during the exam.
Group 1 Nacorda, Badulan, Ampit
Group 2 Cataluña, Gumanyao, Charina
Group 3 Santiago, Banayawon , Manpatilan
Introduce the stack of questionnaire cards to students. Shuffle the cards. Put the stack face down on the desk.
Decide which team goes first by drawing lots, and then pose the first question to a member of that team. There is
only 5 seconds waiting time for the answer. If the student answers correctly, he or she draws a scoring card from
the stack. If not, the other group can still. The score on the card determines the score of the student earns for his
group.
B. Presenting examples/instances of the new lesson
With the same group, you will be given pictures. In front of the class answer the following questions:
1. What can you say about the picture?
2. How is this related to the current events in the Philippines?
You only have 2 minutes to prepare and a maximum of 2 minutes to discuss it in front.
C. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills
Introduce 4 pics1 word game.
1. Band
2. Tribes
3. Chiefdoms
4. State
D. Developing mastery (leads to Formative Assessment )
The students will be given fact sheets and materials per group. The group will then discuss it to the class and later on, each team will
throw a question to the group of their choice. Once the question is answered, the point is for the thrown group. If not, the pints will be
given to the one who asked question.
Group 1 –tribe, chiefdoms, bands
Group 2- state, nation
Group 3- Legitimacy and Authority
E. Making generalizations and abstractions about the lesson
1. Compare and contrast band and tribes.
2. How chiefdoms are lead?
3. What is the difference between State and Nation?
4. Differentiate legitimacy and authority.
F. Evaluating learning
For 10 minutes, answer the following questions:
1. What did we do in class?
2. Why did we do it?
3. What did I learn today?
4. How can I apply it?
5. What questions do I have about it?
G. Additional activities for application or remediation
Continuation of oral recitation.
