A. TITLE OF THE ACTIVITY: SYNCHRONIZE NATIONAL AND LOCAL ELECTION
B. DATE : MAY 13, 2019
C. VENUE : GENEROSO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, BRGY. DALAKIT, CATARMAN NORTHERN SAMAR
D. LEGAL BASIS :
Pursuant to Article IX, Section 2 (4) of the 1987 Philippine Constitution , the Commission on Election (COMELEC)
has the power to deputized law enforcement agencies and instrumentalities of the government for the exclusive
purpose of ensuring fees, orderly, honest, peaceful and credible elections.
The Department of Education (DepEd), is one of the national agencies deputized by COMELEC to ensure free,
orderly, honest, peaceful and credible elections, through the appointment of public school teachers to serve as
chairperson, poll clerk, and third member of the Electoral Board.
Republic Act No. 9369, the COMELEC has resolved to adopt a paper-based election system (AES) in connection
with the May 13, 2019 National and Local Elections by using a Vote Counting Machine (VCMs) in the voting,
counting, and transmission of election results from the precinct level, and the consolidation Canvassing System
(CCS) in the Canvassing/consolidation of the electronically transmitted election results from the
precinct/city/municipality/district/provincial board of canvassers.
E. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ACTIVITY:
Last May 13, 2019, several public school teachers nationwide lend hands to ensure a smooth, clean, and credible
election. I was appointed as Poll Clerk who designates to assist in voting center of Trangue Elementary School, Brgy.
Trangue, Catarman, N. Samar. Person who renders service in an election shall refer to those individuals appointed by
the COMELEC and related services are as follows: A Poll Clerk of the Electoral Boards, and their respective support staff.
The voting time was from 6AM to 6PM and it ended peacefully and successfully.
II. RESULTS/OUTPUTS
Successfully and actively participated the said activity.
