Proceedings:

Biñang ES School Canteen caters to more than 500 pupils every day. It provides nutritious food such
as lugaw, sopas, pansit, hotcake etc. Ensuring children will be given variety of food that are healthy
and will help their physical well-being. And ultimately to develop and encourage good eating habits
consistent with the current dietary guidelines for children.

One school canteen manager and two canteen helpers are operating the said canteen. Teachers are
mandatory to assist their respective class to assist their pupils during recess. Supervised recess is a
partnership task between the school canteen and advisers in ensuring certain rules and regulations for
the pupils to follow that will help them continually develop self-discipline and good values.

The school canteen is an integral part of school administration because it augments other financial
obligation of school i.e. incentives for winning athletes and contestants, fare and/or stipend on
seminars and other school related activities.

Way Forward:
 Biñang ES School Canteen envision to incorporate harvest from “Gulayan sa Paaralan” for self-
sustained mechanism.
 Create a sense of volunteerism from parents who can lend at least an hour or so in helping
canteen manpower.
