                           IN MATH 10 (4A’s)
I - Objectives:
     1. Identify tangents and secants of circles;
     2. Prove theorems on tangents and secants
II - Subject Matter:
Tangents and Secants of a Circle
      Reference: Mathematics Learners Module 10
Materials: Visual Aid, Activity and Work Sheets, Marker, Tape
Strategy: Collaborative Approach and Lecture Method
III - Learning Activities:
Activity
Group students into 4, then the teacher will post an illustration on the
board which they are going to identify if it is a tangent or a secant line of a
circle. The students will write their answer on a provided manila paper. They are
given 5 minutes only to finish the activity.
Analysis
Each group will present their outputs.
Abstraction
Lecture Method: The teacher will discuss and explain the Theorems on
Angles Formed by Tangents and Secants
      Teacher-student interaction
Application
The teacher will provide worksheets to the students.
IV – Assignment
Answer Activity 5 on page 189 (number 1-3 only). Show your solutions.
