Affidavit of Witness in Vizconde Case

AFFIDAVIT OF WITNESS

I, ATTY. FRANCISCO C. GATCHALIAN, married, of legal age, Filipino, a resident of 47 Milan


St. BF Homes Executive Village Paranaque City, after having been sworn to in accordance with
law, do herby and deposed and state:

1. That I personally know the accused Michael “Mike” Gatchalian since he is my son.

2. That on the evening June 29, 1991, Mike is with his friends Antonio “Tony Boy” Lejano II
and Carlos “Cas” Syap in the house of the latter in Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa.

3. That around 7:00 to 7:30 in the morning of June 30, 1991 I was jogging around the
village I passed by the Vizconde’s house and saw people milling in front.

4. That at about 8:30 in the morning, I saw the crowd getting bigger and so I instructed my
son Mike who had just wakened up, to find out and check what happened to our
neighbor.

5. That Mike rushed out towards the Vizconde’s residence and when he came back about
10:00am that same morning, he told me that the house was robbed and people were
killed inside the house.

6. That both of us stayed in our house that day.


7. That we are executing this affidavit to attest the truth of the forgoing facts and for
whatever purposes this may serve.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto affixed my signature this 31st day of July,
1995 at Paranaque, Philippines.
