Zinc Anode
Sacrificial zinc anodes protect your engine’s heat exchanger and charge
air cooler from galvanic corrosion, which is caused when dissimilar
metals are connected electrically in seawater. John Deere recommends
inspecting the anode and replacing it, if necessary, every six months or
250 engine hours. See your operator’s manual for more information.
