Vocabulary Concept Mapping for Grade 8

Students will create concept maps to learn new vocabulary from a poem. The concept maps will include the vocabulary word, its definition, a synonym, antonym, example sentence, and illustration. Teachers will check student understanding through questions and partner activities. Finally, students will independently create concept maps for vocabulary from the poem to study before a quiz.
