The sole purpose of COINTELPRO was to destroy individuals and groups

perceived as threats to the status quo in the United States. COINTELPRO was
“of cially” ended in 1971—although it never really ended. After the 911 attacks,
the government went at it again, but this time with a scared and more dumbed-
down complicit public. Exactly forty-six days after the towers came crumbing
down Bush signed the USA Patriot Act. This virtually eliminated restrictions on
law enforcement agencies’ ability to search telephone, e-mail communications,
medical, nancial, and other records. What we used to consider illegal
eavesdropping is now reclassi ed as something else — an emergency. According
to an of cial DOJ report, the use of “emergency”, warrantless requests to ISPs for
customer communications content has skyrocketed over 400% in a single year.
No outrage, no accountability. The majority of people are now more concerned
about how to feed their families; civil liberties will just have to take a back seat
until things improve.

The inequality and oppression in America now resembles that of a third world
oligarchy. The only purpose of an oligarchy is to perpetuate oligarchic rule.
Hence, “change” is not a choice, lest the rulers might be held to account for their
crimes. Upward mobility is no longer attainable; the days of “hard work and
dedication bringing success” are over. It would be a slap in the face to say that to
the more than “317,000 waiters and waitresses (over 8,000 of which have a
doctoral or professional degree), along with over 80,000 bartenders, and over
18,000 parking lot attendants” Americans who graduated from college. The
cancer of nepotism and cronyism are the order of the day. It is mathematically
impossible to hold a job while paying for exorbitant college tuition, unless of
course you come from the fast-shrinking upper-middle class.

The majority of voters voted for Obama in 2008 because they wanted change. The
word “change” did resonate in the hearts of Americans, but, unfortunately, the
people were once again bamboozled. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice,

Everyone here is missing one that spells it out startlingly well. The manuscript was
started in 1951 and finished in 1956 and sat on this writers mantle for 22 years and
was put to print 2 years after he died. If they knew he was writing it, they would
have assassinated him before he could finish it. It's as or more relevant today than in

Excellent reading list above, and many great suggestions as well.
If I could add one book it would be "The Law That Never Was" by
Bill Benson. Benson, a former IRS investigator, lays out the case that
the 16th Amendment to the Constitution ­ which "allows" the Federal Govt.
to collect a personal income tax from every member of the public ­ was never
legally ratified and, in fact, was fraudulently claimed to be "the law" by then
Secretary Of State Philander Knox. The implementation of the income tax turned
the public into "tax paying units" ­ in the words of former Treasury Sec. Hank
Paulsen ­ for the benefit of those at the top of the US political pyramid, and gave
those in the "US Government" the financial resources to create the "Global Empire"
that we are now paying the price for today.....

Icke's books, i thought like you but gullibly still brought into the Conspiracy
theory. It's only later when i was researching the topic, that i found that

Wow, I’ve read only 2 books in the article’s list, but several recommended in the
comments.

Sheriff Mack's book looks most interesting ­­ I'm going to get that next. And I really
want to read Icke's new book, too.

This collection is quite bad, compared with the more important works available on
related issues. Many are available in leading book stores and receive national

Creature From Jekyll Island) which promotes and secures the 'system' with Gold
Standard 'solutions' ­ Who owns the largest Gold reserves and capital to corner the
market? The same elite houses of course!

IMO this article was compiled by someone with less than 2­3 years research ­ which
isn't a problem, though much more work is needed.

Nah, THE book they don't want you to read (and which they spent the better part of
60 years suppressing) is Political Ponerology by Andrew Lobaczewski. Finally
published in 2006 by Red Pill Press, this is the truth that will set you free.

"who" and the "why" of 9/11. Both provide excellent material for a
realistic indictment of key players. "Another Nineteen" by Kevin Ryan
and "Black 9/11" by Mark Gaffney, and Michael Ruppert's "Crossing the Rubicon".
