contracted scope of wor. Each area of desi$n is disc#ssed brief"y. 'he
descriptions $iven ref"ect Pand#it Professiona" 1ervice2s desi$n intent3 and are
tr#e to Pand#it2s #nderstandin$ of the app"icab"e re/#ire(ents.
'he te"eco((#nications infrastr#ct#re wi"" (ae #se of an +DA )+ain
Distrib#tion Area*0 %DA )%ori&onta" Distrib#tion Area*0 and (#"tip"e EDA
)E/#ip(ent Distrib#tion Area* and 4DA )4one Distrib#tion Area* "ocations within
the Data Center.
'he +DA wi"" serve as the point of interconnect and!or cross5connect between
the b#i"din$ bacbone and inco(in$ data services and distrib#tion of interior
data services.
'he %DA wi"" serve e/#ip(ent areas when not co5"ocated with the +DA. 'he
%DA wi"" inc"#de the point of interconnect and!or cross5connect to EDA
"ocations.
4DA "ocations wi"" be p"aced between an %DA and an EDA to per(it fre/#ent
reconfi$#ration and add f"exibi"ity to e/#ip(ent dep"oy(ent.
EDA "ocations wi"" contain end e/#ip(ent inc"#din$ co(p#tin$ syste(s and
te"eco((#nications e/#ip(ent. 'he EDA sha"" not serve the p#rposes of the
+DA or an %DA.

A. Exterior
'he b#i"din$ wi"" be served by red#ndant Entrance .aci"ities )E.* which wi""
enter the b#i"din$ at $eo$raphica""y diverse "ocations to per(it the
6wner the f"exibi"ity to have red#ndancy in their in5co(in$ services.
'he E. "ocations (ay serve as the rate de(arcation point )DE+ARC* for
b#i"din$ services fro( service providers. If s#fficient space is
#navai"ab"e0 the DE+ARC can be co5"ocated with the +DA.
'he E. "ocations sho#"d be p"aced in proxi(ity to the entrance)s* for e"ectrica"
services. 'his (ay faci"itate cost red#ctions by co5"ocation of inco(in$
#nder$ro#nd d#cts in a sin$"e trench.
