Digital Assets
We provide digital assets that enable faculty and staff to effectively represent the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing. When creating promotional materials, it is the responsibility of everyone who creates and disseminates content to adhere to our identity standards and practices.
General Promotional Materials
The Marketing, Communications, and Creative Services team is eager to work with you to develop marketing materials such as flyers and posters and other General Promotional Materials. To get started, contact Morgann McAfee. However, in addition to digital assets, we also provide templates that enable faculty and staff to create their own promotional materials. Please check back for new templates.
A Note About Visual Identity Standards
Penn State Strategic Communications is Penn State’s central public relations and marketing division. As part of its brand management approach, Strategic Communications has provided the university community with a brand book and visual and editorial standards for in-house communications efforts. Use these tools as a guide to align your work with university standards.
Shooting photography?
A completed release form must be obtained in order to legally use a person’s image and likeness in marketing materials, publications, web pages, or other media. For children and youths under the age of 18, a model release must be obtained and should be filled out by the individual’s parent or guardian.

A Note About University Brand Review
Most promotional materials need to be reviewed and assigned a UBR number to certify they are in compliance with Penn State’s policies, most notably accessibility and brand guidelines. To see a full list of materials that need to be reviewed and to learn more about the UBR process, visit the University Brand Review Process website.
It is the responsibility of everyone who creates and disseminates Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing content to adhere to our identity standards and requirements. Submitting your materials to the UBR process is an essential part of this process. To begin the UBR process, please submit your materials by email to John McShea.
In addition to the UBR process, most University publications must carry a form of the Statement of Nondiscrimination (Policy AD85).

Campus Style Guide
Our campus partners play a critical role in delivering our nursing programs throughout the state. To help with positioning this dynamic relationship, we’ve developed a Campus Style Guide. The document provides guidance on our official name, accreditation, nursing program representation, boilerplate language about the college, business cards and email signatures for our faculty.

Faculty Social Media Support
Penn State Faculty Affairs has developed a document designed to assist the Penn State community in responding to situations in which faculty members are targeted by individuals or groups outside of the University based on the content of the faculty member’s scholarship, teaching, opinions, clinical care, and/or service. It addresses potential concerns in such situations and informs the colleges and campuses about resources available to assist individual faculty members, academic unit executive officers, and other administrators.
