About this audiobook
S. K. Golden
S.K. Golden was born and raised in the Florida Keys, where she married a commercial fisherman. The two of them still live on the islands with their five kids (one boy, four girls - including identical twins!), two cats, and a corgi named Goku. Sarah graduated from Saint Leo University with a bachelor's degree in Human Services and Administration and has put it to good use approximately zero times. She's worked as a bank teller, a pharmacy technician, and an executive assistant at her father's church. Sarah is delighted to be doing none of those things now.

It was fun! Light, but with some real depth to the characters. I wasn’t surprised by the reveal but getting there was still fun. My only note on this audiobook is that the narrator did not seem to understand the prosody of speech for the time period. Certain figures of speech were off in rhythm, as if she had never heard them before. Other than that, it was good. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5

the narrator had a wonderful voice!
as for the story and book itself, i think it works quite well as a young (young) adult’s book. but for actual adults, it seems a bit immature or overly simple.
if this is unfair, i’ll edit the review later. but those are my immediate thoughts post-reading.3 people found this helpful

I normally stick to cozy mysteries set in the 1920s or earlier, but this came up in my recommendations. I’m glad I gave it a chance. The story was good, the characters were likable, and the narrator was excellent.1 person found this helpful
