António de Campos Pereira, holds a PhD from the Dept. of Physics, Stockholm University. He is retired from Stockholm University. Mathematical modelling is one of his interests. However, the subject of geological repositories for nuclear waste is his main interest. High-level nuclear waste and spent nuclear fuels contain long-lived radionuclides that must be isolated from man and his near environment for centuries and millennia. How to pass the knowledge of the existence of geological repositories aimed at the isolation of that waste, to the children of our children and to generations of a far distant future, is also one of his main interests, potentiating such knowledge to become part of mankind’s cultural heritage.
