Mangifera indica L., is one of the tropical fruit trees grown in Zambia. The mango fruit produced in rainy season go to waste. In order to reduce the waste, a business model must be employed to use this mass production into an opportunity. A study was undertaken on how the business model would play a big role in providing markets for the mango fruits in Zambia. The researcher identified the marketing players in the industry such as processing companies, producers, and traders. Through the literature review and the study, it was found that the mango processing enterprise is profitable because it has a huge market within Zambia especially in the slack period of mango production. Due to competition for these outlets, the processing companies will need strategic planning with sound marketing strategies. This loss can go up to 30 or 40 %. With a bleak possibility to store mangoes locally, smallholder farmer has to sell his harvest at the time that the market is flooded and the prices are on its lowest. (GVCT 2016). This also result into the loss of contribution to the economy of Zambia that is predominantly agriculturally based. This study looked at three marketing players and profitability and this showed that the producers have a net profit margin of 18.34%, the trader at 19.45% and the processor at 34.1%. This shows that the processor would help to reduce wastage and at the same time be able to make profits out of the business model.

This work intends to inspect the financial performance of our country's banks before and post the merger. Acquisitions or mergers have been implemented as a tool these days as a respite for distressed banks. By Mergers and Acquisitions, banks are restructured to increase shareholders' value and competitiveness by increasing efficiency. For this work, a specimen of four bank mergers that happened after liberalization was taken and they were analyzed based on financial parameters, for example, Net Profit Margin (NPM), Dividends per Share (DPS), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Return on Assets (ROA), and Credit Deposit Ratio. This set of parameters chosen is unique when compared to past works. Paired t-test was implemented to identify a substantial change between the financial particulars before and after the merger. The paper also looks at the study's future scope, such as analyzing the stock price movements before and after the merger. This study then can conclude whether the merger of the banks involved was beneficial for the banks and the Indian banking industry or not.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh rasio keuangan terhadap pertumbuhan laba pada perusahaan subsektor makanan, minuman dan farmasi yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2017-2020. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh perusahaan yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2017-2020 dengan jumlah 45 perusahaan. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 28 perusahaan yang sesuai dengan kriteria pengambilan sampel. Metode analisa yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi data panel. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Net Profit Margin (NPM) dan Total Asset Turnover (TATO) berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan laba pada perusahaan subsektor makanan, minuman dan farmasi yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2017-2020. Secara parsial, variabel Current Ratio (CR) tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan laba, untuk variabel Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan laba pada perusahaan subsektor makanan, minuman dan farmasi yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2017-2020, sedangkan Net Profit Margin (NPM) dan Total Asset Turnover (TATO) berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan laba pada perusahaan subsektor makanan, minuman dan farmasi yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2017-2020.

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh Return on Investment (ROI), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Net Profit Margin (NPM), dan Dividen Payout Ratio (DPR) terhadap return saham pada indeks saham LQ45 yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2011-2019. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan kriteria (1) Perusahaan yang termasuk indeks saham LQ45 di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada periode 2011-2019. (2) Perusahaan yang terdaftar secara berturut-turut pada indeks saham LQ45 di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama periode 2011-2019. (3) Perusahaan yang termasuk indeks saham LQ45 di Bursa Efek Indonesia yang membagikan dividen selama periode 2011-2019. (4) Perusahaan yang termasuk indeks saham LQ45 yang memiliki variabel dengan data yang tidak ekstrim. Dari keriteria ini diperoleh jumlah sampel 18 perusahaan. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi data panel. Uji hipotesis menggunakan t statistik untuk menguji pengaruh variabel secara parsial dan Uji f-statistik untuk menguji variabel secara bersama-sama terhadap return saham dengan level of significance 5%. Selain itu dilakukan uji asumsi klasik yang meliputi uji normalitas dan uji multikolinearitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian secara simultan variabel bebas berpengaruh terhadap return saham dengan nilai signifikansi F sebesar 0,0041. Secara parsial hanya variabel Return on Investment (ROI) dan Debt to Equiry Ratio (DER) yang berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap return saham indeks LQ45 periode 2011-2019 karena signifikansi kurang dari 5%. Sedangkan Net Profit Margin (NPM) dan Dividen Payout Ratio (DPR) tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap return saham.

Efficient use of energies on crop production helps to achieve increased production and productivity as well as profitability and competitiveness of agricultural sustainability of rural communities. The study examined profitability and energy used of rice production under two different technologies in two States of Nigeria. Primary data through structured questionnaire and interview were administered to 265 rice farmers comprising 57 semi-mechanized (Group 1) and 208 traditional (Group 2) rice farmers in both States. Results revealed that the semi-mechanized had higher income ₦370998.2 ($2348.1) per ha compared to ₦ 307031.1 ($1943.2) per ha from traditional technology. Group 1 farmers produce a total energy output 54842.8 MJ ha -1 (3.7 tons) compared to Group 2 farmers with energy output of 46601.9 MJha -1 (3.1 tons).
