Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is an infrastructure less that has no central administration and limited capabilities in term of energy, power consumption, and data storage capacity. Furthermore, WSNs are key technologies for IoT. The routing protocol is one of the most concerned areas in WSNs which is responsible for maintaining the routes in such that network. In this paper, we aim to enhance the security of WSN routing protocol. Our contribution is modified Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol by building a security layer that utilizes Paillier homomorphic cryptographic mechanism; to protect forwarding packet data and routing during the communication and deliver data integrity and confidentiality The simulation is carried on NS-2 and the results of the proposed scheme are compared to the fundamental AODV routing protocol, these results are examined on various network performance metrices such as packet delivery ratio, throughput and end-to-end delay.

چكيده
باتوجه به اهميت مباحثي مانند پايش و نظارت محيطي در سطح
جهان و رشد روز افزون اين تكنولوژي ها كه با استفاده از سيستم
هاي آميزش اطلاعات سنسوري موجود در محيط صورت مي گيرد
به روز رساني و هوشمند نمودن اين سيستم ها از دغدغه هاي
اصلي حوزه امنيت مي باشد. از اين رو چيدمان هوشمند سنسورها
براي عمليات پايش و آميزش اطلاعات با استفاده از اطلاعات
سنسور هاي مناسب، از مباحث جدي اين عرصه خواهد بود و اين
امر در نهايت سبب كاهش زمان پردازش اطلاعات و افزايش دقت
آميزش اطلاعات مي گردد. به همين منظور در اين پژوهش سعي
گرديده است تا با استفاده از ابزارهايي مانند الگوريتم ژنتيك و
شبكه هاي عصبي يك سرويس چيدمان هوشمند سنسورها طرح
ريزي نماييم. استفاده از شبكه عصبي در واقع به منظور دست
يابي به مقدار برازندگي 3 هر كروموزوم الگوريتم ژنتيك ميباشد
كه به وسيله آن قادر خواهيم بود بهترين پيكربندي 4 سنسوري را
براي پايش محيط مورد نظر با توجه به شرايط محيطي و ويژگي
اهداف بدست آوريم. بدين منظور 180 سناريو براي 15 سنسور
يكسان مورد استفاده در پايش صحنه نبرد تعريف گرديد و نرخ
تشخيص وجود اهداف توسط اين سنسورها در هر چيدمان بدست
آمد كه از اين مقادير نيز براي فرآيند آموزش شبكه عصبي
استفاده شده است كه با استفاده از اين مقادير قادر خواهيم بود
بهترين پيكربندي سنسوري را براي پايش محيط مورد نظر خود،
توسط الگوريتم ژنتيك بدست آوريم و اين الگوريتم نشان مي دهد
كه با چه چيدماني از سنسورها بيشترين ميزان تشخيص وجود
هدف در منطقه تحت پايش حاصل مي گردد.

We will design a system based on WSNs and IoT technologies to manage real-time power at buildings. This system comprises of: a wireless sensor network (sensing node and base station) and a smart home gateway. A sensing node is utilized wireless sensors to measure voltage and current; to calculate power consumption of connected appliances, transmitted wirelessly to a base station via Zigbee node. A base station is designed to receive all data transmitted from the sensing node and display it through GUI available at the personal computer, with the possibility of controlling ON and OFF appliances according to consumer requirements; All of these readings will be stored at database for analysis. In addition, a smart home gateway will connect the system with internet to allow consumers to continuous monitoring and remote control the appliances via a smartphone application. The benefit of this system, that the appliances control mechanism can be done in different ways (manually, automatically, and remotely). Various household appliances were tested to verify the accuracy of the electrical parameters that measured at system and compare them with practical measurement, found the average error ratio between them (0.3%) was in voltage, (1.5%) in current, and (1.8%) in power.

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs)  have recently gained a lot of attention by scientific community. Small and inexpensive devices with low energy consumption and limited computing resources are increasingly being adopted in different application scenarios including environmental monitoring, target tracking and biomedical health monitoring. In many such applications, node localization is inherently one of the system parameters. Localization process is necessary to report the origin of events, routing and to answer questions on the network coverage ,assist group querying of sensors. In general, localization schemes are classified into two broad categories: range-based and range-free. However, it is difficult to classify hybrid solutions as range-based or range-free. In this paper we make this classification easy, where range-based schemes and range-free schemes are divided into two types: fully schemes and hybrid schemes. Moreover, we compare the most relevant localization algorithms and discuss the future research directions for wireless sensor networks localization schemes.

چكيده: امروزه شبكه هاي حسگردرشاخه هاي مختلف علم،
كاربردهاي زيادي پيدا كرده است. يك شبكه حسگر از تعداد زيادي
حسگركوچك تشكيل شده است.اين حسگرها با كمك يكديگر
اطلاعاتيرا در مورد ميدان حسي قرارگرفته درآن به كاربران ميدهند.
يكيازمسائل مهم دراين شبكه ها، مسئله پوشش است. يكي ازشاخههاي
تايي است .هدف اين نوع پوشش نظارت k مسئله پوشش، پوشش
حسگر گوناگون بر تمام نقاط ميدان حسي است .با توجه به k حداقل
محدود بودن انرژي حسگرها، مسئله ي مهم ديگركه در شبكه هاي
حسگرمورد بررسي قرار ميگيرد ذخيره انرژي ميباشد كه باعث
افزايش طول عمر شبكه نيز خواهد شد.در اين مقاله، مسئله بهبود
تايي مورد بررسي و ارزيابي k مصرف انرژي درشبكههاي حسگر ب ا پوشش
قرار گرفته و الگوريتم بهينه ايبراي افزايشكاراييانرژي حسگرها
پيشنهاد مي شود.طبق نتايج شبيه سازي، اين الگوريتم طول عمرشبكه را
بيشتر افزايش ميدهد.

Energy autonomy and system lifetime are critical concerns in wireless sensor networks (WSNs), for which energy harvesting (EH) is emerging as a promising solution. Nevertheless, the tools supporting the design of EH-WSNs are limited to a few simulators that require developers to re-implement the application with programming languages different from WSN ones. Energy efficiency is an essential issue to be reckoned in wireless sensor networks development. Since the low-powered sensor nodes deplete their energy in transmitting the collected information, several strategies have been proposed to investigate the communication power consumption, in order to reduce the amount of transmitted data without affecting the information reliability. Lossy compression is a promising solution recently adapted to overcome the challenging energy consumption, by exploiting the data correlation and discarding the redundant information. In this paper, we propose a hybrid compression approach based on two dimensions specified as horizontal (HC) and vertical compression (VC), typically implemented in cluster-based routing architecture. The proposed scheme considers two key performance metrics, energy expenditure, and data accuracy to decide the adequate compression approach based on HC-VC or VC-HC configuration according to each WSN application requirement. Simulation results exhibit the performance of both proposed approaches in terms of extending the clustering network lifetime.

چکيده: شيوه جايگذاری سنسورها در يک شبکه سنسور بيسيم که از تعدادی
نقطه هدف تشکيل شده است، تاثير بسياری بر تعداد سنسورهای موردنياز برای
پوشش آن نقطه ها دارد. در اين مقاله، يک مساله جديد در جايگذاری سنسور
به نام پوشش نقطه ای ناهمگن را تعريف می کنيم که هدف آن پوشش يک
تعداد نقطه هدف است که به درجه های پوشش مختلفی نياز دارند. سپس اين
مساله را به چند زيرمساله شکسته و الگوريتمی را برای يافتن يک پاسخ تقريبی
برای اين مساله طراحی می کنيم. همچنين، يک نرم افزار برای اجرای اين
الگوريتم پياده سازی کرده ايم که الگوريتم را اجرا کرده و نتيجه جايگذاری را
به صورت گرافيکی نمايش می دهد. شبيه سازی هايی که به کمک اين نرم افزار
انجام شده اند، عملکرد الگوريتم پيشنهادی را نشان می دهند.

Objective of wireless sensor network is monitoring particular area for event to happen and forwarding event to the destination as soon as possible and in reliable manner. There exists different technique for forwarding the event packet to the destination as soon as event is detected in wireless sensor network. Some method uses single node to forward event packet, some methods uses multiple nodes and some method uses all nodes in particular region where event has happened to forward event packet. In this paper we focus on real time event detection based on concept of clustering of nodes and transformation of detected event in reliable and secure manner. Here we consider single node to forward event to sink. It leads to minimize energy conversion, computation cost of network and also it ensures the reliability and security in event forwarding.

نياز دارد، اين مدل از پوشش يك مدل مناسب پوشش براي
كاربردهاي تشخيص تجاوز(نفوذ) مي باشد. در اين نوع مدل پوشش
نيازمنديم كه عمليات پوشش را طوري انجام دهيم كه اگر نفوذي از
عرض ناحيه تحت پوشش صورت گيرد آن را بتوانيم تشخيص دهيم.
در اين مقاله ما يك روش براي افزايش طول عمر شبكه با استفاده از
اتوماتاي يادگير ارائه م يدهيم كه در آن هر گره در شبكه را به
اتوماتاي يادگير مجهز م يكنيم. اتوماتاي يادگير در هر گره وظيفه
انتخاب گره براي انجام عمليات پوشش مرزي را بر عهده دارد. نتايج

The internet of Things is becoming one of the achievements in the age of networking that is going to dispose future of information technology. IOT avail connections to users on anywhere, anything and at any moment. IOT is a creative idea that alters the real world objects into virtual objects. IOT enables users to control over labeled items like door locks, lights, microwave, tv, coffeemaker, washing machine, window locks and so on and keeps up-to-date about the state. The description of a concept IOT represent various technologies that make the internet available to each real world tangible objects. In this paper we focus on the various applications of IOT like interoperability, smart cities, smart medicine, of ices, home, transportation, vegetable traceability system in agriculture, cyber security, ecommerce and so on. This paper also focus on the middleware which acts as a software layer between the IT infrastructures and also hides the implementation technalities of the programmers. This paper also puts light on how temperature affects IOT.

IRNode hardware architecture has been specially designed to be extremely low consumption. Digital switches allow to turn on and off any of the sensor interfaces as well as the radio modules. Two different sleep modes make IRNode the lowest consumption sensor platform in the market (0.7uA).

Fuzzy c-mean is one of the efficient tools used in character recognition. Back propagation neural network is another powerful that may be used in such field. A comparison between fuzzy c-mean and BP neural network classifiers are presented in this research to obtain the performance of both classifiers. The comparison was based on recognition efficiency; this efficiency was evaluated as the ratio of the number of assigned characters with unknown one to the number of character set related to that character. The fuzzy C-mean and BP neural network algorithms were tested on a set of hand written and machine printed dataset named Chars74K dataset using Matlab (2016 b) programming language and the result was that neural network classifier gave 82% recognition efficiency while fuzzy c-mean gave 78%. Neural network classifier is more superior than fuzzy C-mean in recognition due to the limitations of processing time of fuzzy C-mean that requires smaller image size and eventually this will cause less efficiency.. — There are many different energy aware routing protocols proposed in the literature, most of them focus only on energy efficiency by finding the optimal path to minimize energy consumption. These protocols should not only aim for energy efficiency but also for energy balance consumption. In this work, energy balanced data gathering routing algorithm is developed using the concepts of potential in classical physics [16]. Our scheme called energy balanced routing protocol, forwards data packets toward the sink through dense energy areas so as to protect the nodes with relatively low residual energy. This is to construct three independent virtual potential fields in terms of depth, energy density and residual energy. The depth field is used to establish a basic routing paradigm which helps in moving the packets towards the sink. The energy density field ensures that packets are always forwarded along the high energy areas. Finally, the residual energy field aims to protect the low energy nodes. An energy-efficient routing protocol, tries to extend the network lifetime through minimizing the energy consumption whereas energy balanced with efficiency routing protocol intends to prolong the network lifetime through uniform energy consumption with efficiently.

The systems based on intelligent sensors are

performances of intelligence: transmitting and receiving data in
real-time, computation and processing algorithms, metrology
remote, diagnostics, automation and storage measurements…The radio frequency wireless communication with its multitude offers a better solution for data traffic in this kind of systems. The mains objectives of this paper is to present a solution of the

focuses on their performance which depends on the areas of
utilization. Furthermore, it shows the limits of their
characteristics. Study findings can be used by the developers/
engineers to deduce the optimal mode to integrate and to operate a system that guarantees quality of communication, minimizing energy consumption, reducing the implementation cost and avoiding time constraints.

In Wireless Sensor Network, one of the most critical issue is power consumption during routing. Various routing protocols have been proposed by the researchers to reduce the consumption of energy of sensor nodes which results in prolonging network life time. Routing protocols are classified into various categories such as Flat based routing protocol, Hierarchical based routing protocol, and location-based protocol. Chain based routing is the category of routing protocols which reduces the power consumption by connecting the nodes of the network in form of chains. PEGASIS is one of the popular chain-based energy efficient hierarchical routing protocol which prolongs the network life time by reducing energy consumption. This paper discusses the various modified versions of PEGASIS and compare them on the basis of different parameters such as criteria used for selecting chain head nodes, no. of chains formed, type of communication among BS and chain head node etc.

The large number of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) simulators available nowadays, differ in their design, goals, and characteristics. Users who have to decide which simulator is the most appropriate for their particular requirements, are today lost, faced with a panoply of disparate and diverse simulators. Hence, it is obvious the need for establishing guidelines that support users in the tasks of selecting a simulator to suit their preferences and needs. In previous works, we pro- posed a generic and novel approach to evaluate networks simulators, considering a methodological process and a set of qualitative and quantitative criteria. In particularly, for WSN simulators, the criteria include relevant aspects for this kind of networks, such as energy consumption modelling and scalability capacity. The aims of this work are: (i) describe deeply the criteria related to WSN aspects; (ii) extend and update the state of the art of WSN simulators elaborated in our previous works to identify the most used and cited in scientific articles; and (iii) demonstrate the suitability of our novel methodological approach by evaluating and comparing the three most cited simulators, specially in terms of energy modelling and scalability capacities. Results show that our proposed approach provides researchers with an evaluation tool that can be used to describe and compare WSN simulators in order to select the most appropriate one for a given scenario.

Solid waste management is one of the existing challenges in urban areas and it is becoming a critical issue due to rapid increase in population. Appropriate solid waste management systems are important for improving the environment and the well-being of residents. In this paper, an Internet of Things(IoT) architecture for real time waste monitoring and collection has been proposed; able to improve and optimize solid waste collection in a city. Netlogo Multi-agent platform has been used to simulate real time monitoring and smart decisions on waste management. Waste filling level in bins and truck collection process are abstracted to a multi-agent model and citizen are involved by paying the price for waste collection services. Furthermore, waste level data are updated and recorded continuously and are provided to decision algorithms to determine the vehicle optimal route for waste collection to the distributed bins in the city. Several simulation cases executed and results validated. The presented solution gives substantial benefits to all waste stakeholders by enabling the waste collection process to be more efficient

چکیده: وجود گره های افزونه در شبکه های حسگر بی سیم به دلایل مختلف از
جمله احتمال بالای خرابی در این شبکه ها و نیاز به طول عمر بالا بسیار
معمول می باشد. در چنین شرایطی نیاز به پروتکل هائی مشاهده می شود که
بتوانند به صورت توزیع شده، زیرمجموعه حداقلی از گره ها را به عنوان گره های
فعال به گونه ای انتخاب کنند که کل محیط شبکه توسط این گره ها پوشش
ارائه شده است که با استفاده از GDC-CLA داده شود. در این مقاله الگوریتم
اتوماتای یادگیر سلولی سعی در کمینه کردن تعداد گره های فعال در شبکه به
گونه ای دارد که دو شرط پوشش کل محیط و متصل بودن شبکه برآورده شود.
در این الگوریتم، هر گره به یک اتوماتای یادگیر مجهز است که به صورت
محلی و براساس انرژی باقیمانده و وضعیت همسایه های گره، برای فعال یا
غیرفعال بودن آن گره تصمیم گیری می نماید. نتایج شبیه سازی ها در محیط
را -به ویژه در مقابل نرخ بالای GDC-CLA کارایی J-sim شبیه ساز
خرابی های غیرمنتظره و اتمام انرژی گره ها - مشخص می کند.
