The aim of this study is to examine the self-confidence relevance of the individuals who mountaineer and individuals who are part of search and rescue operations. Two hundred seventy nine persons voluntarily participated in the research. The research data was collected using the self-confidence scale developed by Akın (2007). There are a total of 33 articles in the scale. The scale is composed of two factors. These are the two sub dimensions being interior self-confidence and exterior self-confidence. The data collected was analyzed through the statistical package program (SPSS 16.0) and the results were interpreted. In our study, the Cronbach's Alpha Value of the scale was calculated as 0.89. The One Way ANOVA and T-test were used in the evaluation of the research data. In the research, as regards the gender, branch, experience, age and marital status, meaningful correlations were identified. As a result, athletes who performed search and rescue have higher self-confidence than those who mountaineer. Since both fields involve risky activities, it is recommended for the athletes who are involved in outdoor sports to be encouraged to get into search and rescue operations. Regular activities and training would improve self-confidence.

The majority of high level climbing athletes showed a
significant difference in overall muscular strength,
and hand strength. High-level climbers reflected high
ratios for each hand excelling above 100% of their
body weight on a 19mm wooden crimp, with the
highest being 120%. Women and men were both
tested.
CO N C LU S I O N
Though other factors play a role in successful
climbing ascents, not limited to height, experience,
flexibility, or endurance of a climber, a climbers ability
to recruit and sustain higher muscular forces in
relative to their body weight, sustained higher
climbing grades.

Background: Success in sport climbing depends both on physiological and psychological factors. Personality, a psychological factor influencing daily functioning, is connected with sport activities such as the choice of discipline and the approach to workout. Personality also affects athletic performance, emotional balance during sport activity and gaining new sports experiences. Aim: The aim of this study is to compare the personality traits in male and female sport climbers. Material and methods: We examined 60 sport climbers (30 men, 30 women) aged 23±1 years. The average time of climbing training was 6 years. The study used the Big Five Personality Inventory (NEO-FFI) in Polish adaptation. The questionnaire consists of 60 assertive statements, the truthfulness of which is assessed by the investigator on the five-point scale Neuroticism, Openness to experience, Conscientiousness, Agreeableness, and Extraversion. Results: The results showed there were significant differences between the two groups on the Openes to experience and Agreeableness scales. There were no significant differences in Neuroticism, Conscientiousness and Extraversion scales. Conclusions: Male sport climbers were more liberal in views and experience, whereas female sport climbers were more competing. The built environment does little to encourage users to interact with each other, with nature, and with the greater network of mountain sport communities.

Numerous surveys suggest the number one reason why people don’t go to the mountain is because they have no one to go with. This issue arises from the lack of interpersonal connections and causes athletes and enthusiasts alike to ignore why they participate in mountain sports: the thrill of experiencing such extreme terrain.

The purpose of Project_Summit is to find a way to accentuate the beautiful mountain landscape through architecture and reinvigorate the users about the activities, community, and environment in which they partake. Four modes of social connectivity are made possible by the small, light-handed architectural interventions proposed on Snowmass Mountain: connecting with oneself, one’s peers, the environment, and the larger community through an enhanced digital presence.
