Feature modeling is commonly used to capture the commonalities and variabilities of systems in a domain during Domain Analysis. The output of feature modeling will be some reusable assets (components, patterns, domainspecific language, etc.) to be fed into the application engineering phase for ultimate software products. But current practice lacks an automatic approach for seamless generation of reusable assets from feature models. Applications of collaborative work and platforms allowing workgroups to exchange projects and files over the Internet is a rapidly expanding field. The Laboratoire de Teleinformatique in collaboration with CANARIE and Hexagram launched the Articiel project studying collaborative work by the creation of wiremesh 3D characters and animations. Artist collaboration is expanded over the Internet by the Articiel platform based on Web services SOA architecture. A plugin for the MAYA 3D authoring software was realized previously. Considering that Maya is private domain software not accessible to anyone, actual work converted the MAYA plugin code for the BLENDER public domain software whose functionalities are similar to MAYA. The Blender and Maya software both works on personal computer. The aim of the collaborative work to enable with these applications is to create a Web session on the Articiel platform Web server and share project or contribution file on its disk space.

A remote station for use in a data transmission system that includes a clock channel adapted to carry a periodic clock signal, a flag channel adapted to carry a flag signal, and a data channel adapted to carry a plurality of data signals between the remote station and at least one additional station is disclosed. The remote station includes a number of data terminals and circuitry for receiving the clock signal and the flag signal. The flag signal is stored in the remote station for only a selected interval comprising a selected number of periods of the clock signal. The remote station also includes circuitry for gating a number of data signals between the data channel and the data terminals during the selected period when the flag signal is stored in the remote station. At the termination of the selected interval, the flag signal is placed back on the flag channel.

Modern software development methodologies use Model Based Development (MBD) in design and verification practices. A number of software design tools support the use of modeling throughout the development lifecycle. Using appropriate notation the system model is build and verified. Subsequently the software source code can be automatically generated from the design artifacts. The variety of tools on the market and deceptive vendor claims about tool applicability and ease of use leaves industry confused. We discuss a prototype multiplatform system to perform remote sensing and control of physical variables i.e. temperature, based on the use of the parallel port, application software developed on java and gnu software, working on old recycled computers Pentium II (now considered as computer garbage or e-waste). In this paper, we analyze the electronic circuit that allows sensing until sixteen multiplexed different signals, and its introduction to computer by means of parallel port, we analyze the program on java that makes possible the execution of remote sensing and control over the Internet, as well as the system's implementation on old computers.

One of the most important characteristics of current enterprise systems is the existence of collaborative processes where different users/subsystems communicate and cooperate in order to carry out common activities. In these processes, shared resources are often used and there are complex relationships between activities and users, so the definition and administration of different security levels (tasks, users, resources) is necessary. In this article, we shall focus on an important dimension related to the security aspect of collaborative systems: access control. We shall use an organization model that considers the necessary elements to represent the authorization and access control aspects in collaborative systems. This model is used in a serviceoriented architecture (SOA) in order to facilitate the implementation of a service responsible for these important functions. A common assumption for many process-centred support environments is that they provide the same process support at different levels of the organization. We believe that the required process support from one level to another of an organization varies. In this paper we propose a framework that divides process support into three levels: Individual, group and team level. Further, we characterize each level and describe the required process support and type of process modelling language for each level. We also look at what interfaces are needed between the levels. Finally we use the framework to characterize an eXtreme Programming (XP) development process. Our framework focuses only on the project level of software development and does not consider management processes above this level.
